Imposter syndrome... advice please

Hi everyone, I've recently started a new job and although it's very exciting I can feel imposter syndrome setting in the more and more I move away from my comfort zone. I have read lots of topics on the forum around this but I was wondering what have people done or found helpful in managing imposter...

Thank you mungle, that is very kind of you... I hope so too! Be kind to yourself Victoriomantic - I sadly wasn't offered an interview for any of the courses this year which was really disheartening but things will all work out in the end. If you're still waiting to hear back I wish you lots of luck...

Re: Secondary care to primary care transition

Hi there, I'm an AP working with non-psychosis adult groups. Myself and some colleagues are looking at piloting a group that helps clients better manage the transition from secondary mental health care to primary mental health care. Does anyone know of any existing group work on this difficult tran...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. I've been offered a job interview for the next step up from my current job. Excited by this and incredibly nervous as I know the people interviewing me. Questioning my clinical ability again but I do know I can do this job. 2. Actually cannot believe i've been offered an interview! :D 3. I really...

Re: Next intake for UCL PWP course?

Hi Roslo, I think that the funding for PWP courses may have now stopped so perhaps that is the reason for UCL not advertising one at the moment. Maybe it's worth giving them a call directly though and confirming this. Good luck with it. The PWP courses are still being funded. I believe applications...

Re: assistant psychologist v research assistant

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice as I am completely going round in circles umm-ing and ahh-ing over this. Have been invited to interview for a research assistant post with leading MH trust, but I am so happy as an Assistant Psychologist at the moment. on the off chance I attend...

Re: CWP - any previous trainees?

Thank you for your thoughts Miriam :) I did ask in the interview whether doing CWP would then mean you could apply to PWP qualified positions (incase CWP positions were not avaliable) and there was not a definite answer to this (as it has only been running 1 year so theres not certainly around futu...

Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread

Has anyone had rejections from: Exeter South Wales Bath or Plymouth I'm just wondering if they're only letting the successful applicants know, which seems a bit mean!! I haven't heard from Plymouth yet :) Have you checked your junk folder on your emails? I think they would let all applicants ...

Re: Application to both PWP and DClinPsych training...

Leaving the actual training early sounds like it might be a problem. My PWP intake finished their training before the doctorate started, so lots of people completed the PWP course only to go straight into clinical. I understand the criticism about there being an ethical problem with doing one train...
