Leeds (withdrew, couldn't attend the interview)
Teesside (ended 1st reserve)
Teesside (ended top of the reserves again)
Newcastle (ended.... you guessed it, top of the reserves!!)
Lancaster (I completely BOMBED the numerical reasoning)
I have 7 years experience as both an AP and an RA, I have several publications, and I've worked in Adult, Older Adults and CAMHS... But I'm really bad at interviews. This year I took a more relaxed approach and this seems to have been reflected somehow in my application.
I'm clearly doing OK with getting interviews but that seems to be my sticking point, I'm just not very good at them. I've got more support and help this year so I do hope this is finally my year as it does get to be a pretty draining process every year. I'm glad this stage is over for now but onto the scarier bit!
I'll be watching your progress with interest and crossing all appendages for you.

Did not expect to get this far on a first attempt! I did wait until I felt "ready" to apply but even so it still feels very surreal to be in this position.
Hugs to all of the reds - it really is a tough process.
2nd time applicant. Shocked indeed!
