Did I apply to the only courses which wait until the last day to let people know about interviews?! I'm so over the excitement now and just want to know! :(

3rd time applying, 1st time getting an interview rather than reserve lists for interview. So pleased to be able to post this!

Well I'm pleased to say all my results are finally in. The waiting is no joke. It was my 2nd time applying this year.

2015
Birmingham
Cov and Warwick
Oxford
Staffs

Didn't apply for 2016 as I was pregnant.

2017
Birmingham
Cov and Warwick (I just received an email a few minutes ago)
Leicester
Staffs

I really wouldn't have predicted this outcome but I'm very pleased. I thought I was much more likely to be selected on the basis of the research based tests rather than the form or reasoning tests. Good luck to everyone still waiting and those with interviews. Commiserations to the reds, its such a tough old process.

2014
Leeds (withdrew, couldn't attend the interview)
Newcastle (declined)
Teesside (ended 1st reserve)
Manchester

2015
Newcastle (declined)
Teesside (ended top of the reserves again)
Leeds
Sheffield

2016
Teesside
Leeds
Manchester
Newcastle (ended.... you guessed it, top of the reserves!!)

2017

Lancaster (I completely BOMBED the numerical reasoning)
Leeds
Teesside
Newcastle

I have 7 years experience as both an AP and an RA, I have several publications, and I've worked in Adult, Older Adults and CAMHS... But I'm really bad at interviews. This year I took a more relaxed approach and this seems to have been reflected somehow in my application.

I feel like I'm in a similar position Hockeygirl and I remember hoping for a good outcome for you last year. My application history looks like this:

2014 (plus 2 applications a few years before this that I don't tend to count as I was fresh out of uni and clueless about the process!)
Birmingham
Coventry
Bath
Cardiff

2015

Birmingham
Coventry

Cardiff

2016
Birmingham
Manchester
Coventry
Staffordshire

2017
Cardiff
Coventry

Birmingham
Bath

I'm clearly doing OK with getting interviews but that seems to be my sticking point, I'm just not very good at them. I've got more support and help this year so I do hope this is finally my year as it does get to be a pretty draining process every year. I'm glad this stage is over for now but onto the scarier bit!
I'll be watching your progress with interest and crossing all appendages for you.

Do you mind me asking how you heard from Coventry (email or letter)? I'm still waiting!

Hi Inbloom,
I had an email this morning. Thankfully it's not just by letter this year (just the details being sent by post) as my letter never arrived last year and I had to find my rejection on the clearing house website.

Best of luck. x

Just heard back from Glasgow which I'm gutted about as I ended up on the reserve list for a place last year and this year no luck. Still to hear from Edinburgh.

Same here, quite upset that it's been a no this year. Had built up my hopes after last year (probably a mistake to be honest). Fingers crossed for Edinburgh!

Did not expect to get this far on a first attempt! I did wait until I felt "ready" to apply but even so it still feels very surreal to be in this position.

Hugs to all of the reds - it really is a tough process.

At least I've improved a bit on Glasgow, just need to wait and see... I feel the same as some of the others, I have plenty of experience, I'm just really terrible at interviews   Fingers crossed for Edinburgh!

Congratulations!

I still have not heard from Cov/Warwick, but I have seen quite a few people saying they have either got interviews or are on the reserve list, so I am taking that as I have been unsuccessful as I haven't seen anyone say they have been rejected... Perhaps saving the rejection emails till last!
