The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

Postby Geepopalolo » Mon Feb 06, 2017 1:59 pm

Hello people!

Following the usual tradition this is your space to record your progress and successes for 2017! Some invites for selection tests have already gone out, but please be aware there probably won't be much more news until nearer the deadline date so don't panic that you haven't heard anything from most courses until then.......

****PLEASE CAN ALL SELF FUNDERS MAKE A NOTE OF THIS NEXT TO THE NAME OF THE COURSES******this is to avoid confusion/panic, as it is possible/likely that self funders will hear on different timescales to funded applicants

So...guidelines for this year.............

BLACK for courses you haven't heard from yet (this includes courses where you have been invited for an assessment task as these tasks for part of the shortlisting process before any decisions are taken about whether or not to invite you for interview
RED for no interview
ORANGE for reserve list interview
GREEN for interview
CYAN for reserve list place
BLUE for offered place
BROWN for interview but no place

Mark any self funding places with (self funding) after the location, to save anxiety for other forum members as these do not run on the same timetable as the competition for funded places.

Use regular black text to show a course which you have applied to, but haven't heard from yet (as the deadline for notification of interviews isn't until mid March). Once you get any more news, simply re-post your updates (with new colours) on this thread.

Since the selection tests are a replacement for paper sift shortlisting, there is not a colour for being invited to sit one of these, since the equivalent status for a non-assessment-test-using course is "application is with the shortlisters". If, however, you have been informed you are not invited to sit the test, please do feel free to post that course in RED if you wish. For those invited to sit the selection tests, please update with interview reserve, interview, or no interview when you hear the outcome.

Good luck everyone!

Remember: Do not post off-topic conversation or questions in this thread. You can post once to show where you have applied, but after that please wait to post when you have an update to report.

Taking into consideration that I'm a self-funding international student, am I allowed post on here?
Or should I open a new thread for internationals and just play there by myself

Anyway, my progress so far

Essex

(They deal with self-funding people earlier apparently. I also applied for other places but will update them during the process)
