Due to service development and increasing investment in our clinical services, we have the following vacancies

Assistant Psychologist x 3 Children's Complex Care

Complex Care Service 3.0 posts ( 1WTE post based in the Midlands Region; 1 WTE post in the Essex and East Anglia Region, and 1 WTE Post in the North East Region)
Starting Salary £18,000

The posts will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings preferably with experience of working with children who are Looked After.

Cambian Clinical Complex Care Service

Cambian Complex Care Services provide a range of services for children and young people who have experienced significant trauma and/or adverse life events. Our residential homes are supported by a multi-disciplinary team and the young people we care for present with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties as a result of their experiences. Our service draws on a range of therapeutic models when conceptualising the presenting difficulties of young people in order to offer the best individual intervention.

Job Role

We are seeking academically strong candidates to support and enhance the psychological care of children and young people within Cambian Healthcare by assisting qualified psychologists in the delivery and evaluation of evidence based interventions that meet Cambian Healthcare objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements and user and carer needs and expectations. The role involves the administration, scoring and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, clinical formulation, support / consultation to staff and individual and group interventions.

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our young people and Service Users, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support. Clinical supervision is an important part of development and additional training will be supported.

Candidate Profile

You will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. You will have a good understanding of the role of therapeutic boundaries and the importance of evidence-based interventions. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others. We are ideally looking for someone with a Master’s degree in Psychology or potentially extensive experience within CAMH services.

Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
