I quite like the sound of the Essexcourse, however I noticed that on the alternative handbook there aren't any trainees in the younger age brackets and wondered if there was a feeling that it is an older cohort or if there is just a bias on who responds in the alternative handbook? I am younger (23) and just wondered if my age may disadvantage me if they prefer more mature students? Thank you in advance!
I'm not an Essex trainee, but I would hypothesise that the older age range may have more to do with the level of competition amongst applicants, and those with more work experience (and often more academic qualifications) having an advantage at the application stage. I imagine a similar pattern is seen at many courses?
