Ha, indeed! Hopefully we will see more people join this page in the next few weeks :D

Me too! I've been in Manchester for about 7 years now. We live in Stockport. What about you?

I live in Prestwich North Manchester so only about 20 mins to town :D (make a huge difference to my current hour commute to work). Are you looking forward to starting the course? I keep flitting between excitement and relief and pre-training anxiety.

I know Prestwich. That'll be a nice quick commute to the Uni for you.

I'm really excited, and relieved - I think I've checked the offer email at least 10 times to double check! I'm really looking forward to starting but at the same time I've had a few thoughts of 'oh, I've actually got to do this now'! I'm trying to make sure I have some decent time off before we start.

Hi folks, I'm going to be coming to Manchester too! I've quietly perused this site from afar since the application process began but thought it might now be worth registering now to get to chat to you guys! Congratulations on getting your places, I'm looking forward to meeting you :)

Thank you! I'm so excited!

I interviewed on the Monday morning. How about you guys?

I suppose Manchester was one of the earlier ones so people must still have other interviews. I cancelled my remaining one but I guess it might not be other people's first choice (for some inexplicable reason!) :)

Ooh I interviewed Monday morning too! I was there very early around 9 but my interview was around 10/10.15. When was yours?

I am at the University already and I know of at least 3 others who have had offers although I don't know if they've accepted them. So we now know there are at least 3, possibly 6 in our cohort so far...

Oh right, same time as me then! I'm trying to think who else was there - do you have kind of shoulder length blonde hair? I was super nervous so perhaps not as observant or chatty as I might normally be! I'm tall and have dark hair and I don't think I spoke much but I think I mentioned I'd come down from Scotland and was off to Newcastle straight after.

Yes I remember you!! I was the one opposite you with blonde hair. I was wearing a polka dot skirt and a cream top. I remember you saying you were off to Newcastle for an interview the next day?

Ah good, you're who I thought! You're just finishing up a PhD right?

Yes, that's right - that's why it took me a wee while to settle on Manchester - Newcastle was also lovely and I wanted to make sure I made the right decision (which I'm certain I have :) ).

Fantastic! Glad you've chosen Manchester. Do you know the city? Both me and Nicola live here so can offer any help on locations/where to live etc.

I am. Writing up is a real long slog I have to say. You have yours don't you?
