UEA 2017

Postby JFox » Wed Apr 05, 2017 10:30 am

I thought I would make a board for all of those who will be training at the UEA starting October 2017. Congratulations everyone and I look forward to meeting you this Autumn! I will be based in Great Yarmouth and Waveney where I was born and bred, so I am very excited indeed :D

Hello JFox!

Congratulations on your place, I will be joining you at UEA. I am going to be based in Huntingdon which was my first choice so I am very pleased! I'll be moving before starting. Looking forward to meeting our fellow trainees :)

I interviewed on the Wednesday morning / lunchtime, so we may very well have crossed paths at some point! One of the trainees mentioned we may all be staying in Norwich during the first teaching block which will be great to all get to know each other. Are you still based in Great Yarmouth or will you be moving? I'm taking most of September off work to sort out accommodation and moving (hopefully a holiday too), currently have a skip to have a good clear out before that time comes around :)

I still live in Great Yarmouth, but me and my partner are now looking to buy a house as we know where we are going to be for the next three years, so I will be doing the same as you and taking Seprember off to organise this. It helps that my current contract runs out in August anyway  exciting times!

Hello!

I will also be joining UEA in October, and based in the Fenlands.

Is there a facebook group set up for our cohort? Wondering if this could be a nice way to get to know people ahead of October!

Congratulations everyone again!

Hello! Congrats on your place! I was searching for a Facebook group but couldn't find one. Not sure if it's something the trainees make or if admin set up. Either way I'd be happy to join it.

Apparently we'll be receiving info about the next steps by mid June, exciting!

Congrats all! Can't wait to meet everyone. I just tried to set up a Facebook group but says I have to add at least one person before it lets me create it - weird! If anyone wants to PM me their email address I am happy to set it up. Otherwise I can always add one of my friends at random then boot them out once it's all done
