Well now there are two!! Are you from around Teesside? How are you feeling about getting on the course? :D
It would be great to meet up if others are up for it too before we get started!

I am from around Teesside, I live in hartlepool and work for TEWV :D

It's not really sunk in! I keep flipping between anxiety and excited!

I would be up for meeting up!

Are you Teesside based or moving?

I'm from Yorkshire but currently living in Darlington after buying a house last year. I also work for TEWV, so the course is ideal! I'm excited and a bit shocked, but also slightl aprehwnaice about the work to come lol! If we manage to find a few more Teessiders we should do a group thing, if not I'm willing to meet up at somepoint!

Where do you currently work?

I know of three more people who have got on, but aren't on the forum.

I work at Roseberry Park and Lustrum Vale in rehab and recovery :D

Where abouts are you in Darlington? I'm wondering if we've crossed paths!

Hi,

I’ll be starting at Teesside this September also. I’m from a research background so am looking forward starting the clinical placements, and to getting to know the rest of the cohort.

I’ll be moving up from Nottingham. Thinking of moving to the Stokesley area but would welcome recommendations if anyone has any?

Hey! Welcome! What kind of research background are you?

Stokesley is lovely but can be expensive, Yarm is also pretty nice! I live north of Teesside, so I'm more familiar with that area. :D

I did have a walk around Yarm; its lovely down by the river.

I've done a little EEG research in the past. I'm currently developing a cogntive training intervention to improve attention (specifically inhibitroy control) in ADHD http://blogs.nottingham.ac.uk/candal/2017/06/15/recogneyes/. I really like the idea of using cogntive training as something like physiotherapy for the brain. However, the evidence for the efficacy of cogntive interventions is still pretty scant.

It is, I know a few previous trainees have lived around there.

I've heard of that research! I think it sounds like a great idea.
