Re: How many years after graduation before you got on the course

It's taken me 6 years which I think is a medium amount of time. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis soon after graduating from my conversion and I think that held me back slightly. This is my third application and 3rd year with interviews. I think the difference for me this year was not being ...

Hi,

I am also going to be starting at Plymouth in September (can't believe I have actually written those words!).
I am also going to be based in Cornwall, it was my preferred placement base.

Re: Researching "awareness of the current NHS context"?

Hi Dan

I find the Guardian news website a really good source of information for summarising up key issues in mental health in the NHS. Specifically linked to Psychology you have the New Savoy Partnership which has a lot of information on there and thenationalelf is also a good website.

Re: Writing skills

Hi confuseddotcom Yea I would go through all the areas, method etc. Dividing it into headings to make sure it is really clear. Then I would give a brief description of the implications for clinical practice and maybe even if you can put it into the wider context of the nhs at that moment - show why ...

I think the main difference was the clarity in my answer and perhaps placing that research into the wider context of clinical psychology, why are the...
