Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread

In the spirit of showing the negative as well as the positive. (First time applicant): Lancaster Manchester Birmingham Liverpool I'm going to take that as me out for the year as I didn't feel too confident with the Bham test and I doubt I will get looked at by Liverpool as I do not have a post-grad...

Thanks Rob. I've had to work over time these past few days so I will have to do them on Sunday and Monday. I'l make sure it's earlier on Monday as I know it's cutting it fine.

Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread

That's odd. I got a rejection email from Nottingham but the option on the application didn't change. I looked back through this forum and someone contacted the uni with this enquiry. The uni's resp was that they were currently screening applications so they removed any option for you to withdraw. I ...

Re: Staffordshire Selection Test 2018

Hi,
Does anyone know if we have to do both tests on the same day? Can we do each test on separate days if they're before then deadline?

Re: Birmingham Written Test

Well, at least we're all not alone! Esuma- dont worry, I cried pretty much all of Sunday! I think it was the come down from the adrenaline etc. Hummingbird-I also have the Lancaster test, but I already feel defeated. Maths is not at ALL my strong point and I am definitely not scoring above 70% on th...

Re: Birmingham Written Test

To Cassie and Esuma I assumed it was just under an hour, until after i had tried to answer the first question and realised i had 30 minutes left to answer the other 3! I was planning to go back to my first answer but couldnt even finish the last. Completely my fault as i should have kept my eye on t...

Re: Birmingham Written Test

Honestly I found it an awful experience! I was so disappointed in myself as this was the only test of the three I’ve done that I could prepare for and I’ve generally felt stats / research methods is a strength of mine. I’d spent ages preparing and I don’t think I did justice for myself at all :( St...
