Re: High Intensity Interview
It might be worth watching some videos on youtube or other sites of an example session, you're bound to be asked to role play and inform them of the clients diagnosis afterwards. Also, brush up on formulations, for one of my interviews I was given an example client and asked what their primary diagn...

Re: KSA portfolio on application form
If you are selected for interview it is worth bringing it along anyway. I made that mistake and then was asked to e-mail the whole thing across after the interview, which was very time consuming! I'd at least have something together for each section, even if its drafted and unfinished.

Re: Annual leave for trainees
When I was training they were rather strict about attendance, so it might all depend on your university rather than your employer. Any more than 6 days off uni in the entire year then you had to retake those lectures missed at another time. What uni would you be training with if you were successful?

Re: Best/worst IAPT service in London?
I've worked in quite a few services in Surrey at different times. The best one in my experience was Surrey and Borders, but this was back in 2013/2014, and they're now under new management. I've worked for two private iapt services in Surrey, one of them was absolutely terrible, I couldn't wait to l...

Re: Support with having a LTC
Hi Hawke, I'm new to this position and this service, but I have worked in IAPT since 2013. I've recently finished my CBT training and currently in a qualified post, but actually not fully qualified yet! (although full caseload). To add to everything mentioned in my initial post, I had a meeting this...

Support with having a LTC
Hi I don't know if this is posted in the right place, apologies if not. I'm wondering about other people's experiences of working in IAPT with a long term health condition. I'm having to try and get gp appointments, clinic appointments, etc outside of working hours or take annual leave for appointme...

Re: HI training - 2 full years with PWP qualification? Previous experience?
I've come across Trainee PWPs going straight to HI Training! And, newly qualified PWP's going straight onto HI Training. On both occasions due to the amount of experience and studying required for the course, many of them struggled through it! This has only happened at one NHS Trust I know of, I've ...

Re: Wellbeing in IAPT
Hey, I've worked in numerous IAPT services and it seems I have also experienced the same treatment as yourself. I have not felt entirely supported at any service I have worked for if I'm honest. When I worked as a PWP every so often I would get so burnt out that I would be signed off sick by my GP. ...

Re: Talking Change in Portsmouth
I'm not trying to cheat, don't be ridiculous! I was just wondering if anyone else has worked for them firstly and if they have any advice. Then an after thought was what they MIGHT ask in interview.

Talking Change in Portsmouth
Hi all, I have been offered an interview with Portsmouth IAPT in a couple of weeks for a CBT Therapist post. I'm wondering if anyone does or has worked for them? If so, do you have any advice/tips on the service? And in terms of interview questions, does anyone have experience of what they typically...

Re: Ieso Digital Health - Online CBT
The only one I have worked with directly in terms of using and accessing as a therapist to work with clients is SilverCloud, but we also refer clients to Big White Wall or IESO. I don't know any others, but I think Better Help are becoming big at the moment. Do you have any specific questions I cou...
