Re: UCL 2015
I've just had a look on Facebook but I can't find the group - am I being really blind!? I can see the 2013 and 2014 one, just not a 2015 one. I interviewed on the Thursday afternoon, but I was there from the Thursday lunchtime for the presentation. What about you guys? I'm up in the Midlands at the ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
If anyone's interested, I caved and called UCL and they said that letters were posted first class yesterday so they should arrive today or hopefully. I asked about emails and they said not everyone would be getting emails - I found that useful to know so I could stop hitting the refresh button! Fing...

Re: Application form references
Hi happyfeet, I'm only at the stage of applying for training myself, so can't give an expert opinion but just a couple of thoughts I had reading your post... Have you spoken to the current CP about how he'd feel about writing you a reference and who he feels would be better placed to write you a ref...

Re: Assistant Groups
Hi,
I'm currently working as an assistant in Milton Keynes and was just wondering if anyone knew of any groups running in the area?
Also, I've heard there used to be a group that met in Leicester in the evenings - does anyone know if this is still running?
Thanks in advance!

Re: reading up on policy/NHS issues for AP interview
Congratulations on the interview! I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for and you may well be doing it already, but have you read up on the Ministry of Justice involvement in restricted cases? I found this a useful brief summary when I was preparing for a similar non-NHS interview recently: htt...

Re: Forensic Psychologist supervision vs. CP supervision
That's really useful to know, particularly in terms of the reference for training as that was something else I'd been wondering about. I'm pleased to hear you found the supervision so useful! Thanks for your reply

Re: Forensic Psychologist supervision vs. CP supervision
That's really useful, thank you very much! That's good news, as I want to develop as much as possible in this post and I feel like reflective supervision would really help that. Thanks for your reply.

Forensic Psychologist supervision vs. CP supervision
Hi everyone, I've just accepted a Psychology Assistant post at an MSU and I'm really excited about it as I feel like it's going to give me lots of opportunities and it's an area I'm really interested in. My only query about it is that I think I'm going to be supervised by a Forensic Psychologist ins...

Re: Chat with clinical psychologist
I think it depends what your level of knowledge about CP is already. If I was starting from knowing nothing about CP, I'd probably want to know things like what different client groups CPs worked with and how the work might vary between client groups. Also things like asking them to describe a typic...

Re: Gaining clinical supervision experience as a support wor
I'm only an undergraduate myself, so perhaps someone with more experience or who has been in a similar position could help you more, but from reading your post I was thinking that it depends what you mean by clinical supervision and what you want from it. It sounds like you don't have Clinical Psych...
