Re: UCL 2017

Does anyone knows if this will affect the students' ability to grapple with the demands of doctoral studies? Might be worth emailing the contact they asked us to register our interest with to ask this question? Alternatively seeing if there is a current UCL student here going through that pathway? ...

Re: UCL 2017

Hi Sushiroll! Congrats also. I've recently accepted my offer there too. It feels to me that it's going to be a long summer of waiting to start (although maybe that's because I'm in IAPT) ;) Can I also ask about the draft timetable? I haven't got anything yet (but sure it'll be in the post) but I saw...

Re: Applying for jobs as a High Intensity

Agree - remember most CBT therapists have to give 3 months notice in the nhs anyway so I'd imagine they'd have to be ok waiting for around this time period!

Re: High Intensity application - personal statement

4000 characters sounds quite limiting! In true CBT style I'd attempt to synthesize your experience by bullet pointing how you meet the specifications. Good luck!

Re: Tie or not to tie - that is the question

Now that's an idea I can get behind. I will look so positively spiffing with my cravat, monocle and pocket watch that they won't be able to resist choosing me for the course.

Thanks for the above both of you. Think I'll probably plump for wearing one.

Tie or not to tie - that is the question

Hi all, Have an interview for UCL this week (first interview after 5 attempts  ) and in a bit of a kerfuffle wondering what I should wear. Is it standard practice for men going to these interviews to wear a tie? I don't wear one at work and was thinking of attending with smart shoes, formal s...

Re: Change to IAPT career from teaching possible?

I currently work in an IAPT service and know of several PWP trainees who used to be teachers. Lots of transferable skills that she would be able to write about on the job application.

5th time applicant here:

Essex
UCL
IOP
UEL

Previous 4 applications have yielded nothing but a reserve place 5 years ago. Absolutely chuffed to get my first green and I only hope that I leave the interview feeling that I have done my best.

Re: 'PWP Apprentice'

Don't have any links to adverts at present. It's just something that management in my team have been bandying about every now and then and have been keeping under wraps. We have previously had 'Assistant PWP's' before who were mainly employed to help with psycho-ed courses so unsure as to why we wou...

'PWP Apprentice'

Hi All,

I've been hearing about a new type of PWP role called 'Apprentice PWP' which apparently some IAPT sites are set to pilot out across the country. Anyone else heard of this/ or know how this role is differentiated from Trainee PWP's?
