Re: Deciding to withdraw from the process

This pretty much sums up how I have experienced this process and how I am feeling at the moment. This is my third time applying in 4 years and I am seriously considering not applying again if I don't get a place this year. I don't know how much longer I can keep putting my life on hold in the hope ...

Re: Deciding to withdraw from the process

I thought I'd add my story to this thread as it seems very relevant! After applying for the fourth time this year, I have also decided to withdraw my application. I had one interview last year (my first and only!) and it went SO badly. It actually made me think 'would I actually be able to do the do...

Re: Clinical course interview when visibly pregnant

Thanks workingmama, those were my initial thoughts too! Good to have a second opinion :) and thanks for your good luck wishes! I shall waddle on up there and give it my best shot. Hopefully I'll be updating the thread with good news next week!

Clinical course interview when visibly pregnant

Hi all, this is slightly unrelated but I'd be really interested to hear people's views. I have an interview for training next week and I am currently 33 weeks pregnant. Do people think I should tell the uni my current situation before I turn up with my very round tummy or that I'm not obliged to so ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Teesside Does anyone know roughly how many people are on their reserve list? They said they can't give you your position. 6th course to interview, one can but hope. This was my frustration last year. I was on the reserve list but didn't find out and I didn't get called for interview unfortunately. ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Just had an e-mail from Teesside saying my application has been submitted while other people are receiving e-mails with their no's - does anyone know what is going on there? Is everyone receiving the submitted e-mail prior to hearing back? Have there been any greens for Teesside? I have also just h...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Just a heads up for Teesside people who haven't yet heard, I cracked and rang the admissions office.....all responses are going out via email, seems they are just struggling to get through them all! Good luck everyone

Re: Plans for the year ahead

After months of depressing everyone around me with my negativity following a second unsuccessful year of doctorate applications and several unsuccessful AP interviews, I have finally landed a band 5 permanent AP post at the Maudsley!! So excited, it really has been worth the wait and all the other f...

Re: Reserve lists

I've spoken to Teesside and they aren't telling anyone what number they are on the reserve list or how many people are on it. I find this really unfair?! I'd like some idea of how anxious to get haha and how much effort I should be putting in to preparing the presentation that they ask interviewees ...
