Re: Taking gap years before applying

Hey ashgirl, It sounds like you already have had some very relevant jobs already that you should hopefully be able to reflect and draw on when applying for the Doctorate. Don't forget that EPs are now expected to work with children and young people up to the age of 25, so your current role sounds li...

Re: How to get back into Psychology

Re: Advice on ending tenancy early

Hi Lingua, That sounds awful! I used to work for a housing charity and based on what you've said, I believe this would constitute a breach of contract. You were very specific about your requirements and agreed to sign the contract based on the information you were given at the time. You weren't told...

Re: Play Therapy

As others have said, Play Therapy is widely used in schools and some social care settings, however from my experience it is not generally seen as being on the same par as other interventions with a more solid evidence base. I think one of the main issues with it, as lingua has pointed out already, i...

Re: Has anyone heard anything from Clearing House yet?

They will send the link on the 22nd, I think they're letting eligible people know now so that they have some time to prepare for the test via the links they have included in the email

Family Work is another role you might want to consider-they tend to be based in local authorities, charirities and MDTs and the type of work they do with CYP and families can take many forms as far as I'm aware. Some family workers I know work in more generic services, others specialise in LAC, ment...
