Hi Maryse1271, I'm yet to hear back from Bham, but guessing I would have if I had been successful.

Well done to everyone else who has heard and got an interview :-)

So far for me it's:

Re: Birmingham Written Test

Hi guys, Just thought i'd feed back on how I found it too after reading your comments. I came out and the first thing I said to my friend when she called me was 'I never knew touch typing was a skill I needed to train as a psychologist!'. It took me a good three minutes of time at the start to conce...

Re: Birmingham Written Test

Hi,

I would also be interested in joining the bham chat too. I have attempted to complete the 2016 past paper, although it has been a very long time since I did stats/research methods. I will try my best to log on for 7/7.30pm, but depends if my little one gets to sleep on time!

Re: UCL Trainee PWP application for September 2017 start

Yeah, it wasn't really what I expected. It was very quick and I felt rushed during the interview, but the panel seemed nice. Hopefully you will hear back soon, I will keep my fingers crossed for you :D

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

There was a letter at home this afternoon when I got in, I assume you are waiting to hear back from Coventry too- fingers crossed for you :) Thank you! I have heard that they have done email invites and letter rejections in the past, so I'm assuming if I don't get an email there'll be a rejection l...

Re: MST post or Funded MSc?

Thanks for your replies :) I have decided to go for the job! I got 64.9 for my degree, so low... but you never know eh. Too good an opportunity to pass I think.

Your comments were really helpful, so thanks :)

Re: Forensic Psychology - Experience

Hi there,

I work in a prison currently, and our service has volunteers come in to do creative activities with our residents on the wing. If you look into a PIPE (psychologically Informed and planned environments) in a prison near you, and contact them they may be able to help.

Re: Facilitator Interventions Application Advice/Help

Hi N400Effect, I worked as an Interventions Facilitator for HMPS for four years and was involved in the assessment centres and interview process (I now work for the NHS). I imagine you will be on training quite quickly and then if you are assessed as 'ready' on the training- you are likely to go in ...

Re: Birmingham Written Assessment / Interviews

That's more or less what I am revising too. It's also my first year applying, so no idea what to expect. I got invited to the Bham test tomorrow, but had to request another date as I can't attend.

I graduated a while back, so have a lot of revision to do to jog my memory! :/
