I'm so sorry to hear that you've had these experiences and that they've had this effect. I would say that it's important to to be in communication with Occupational Health, and that you're seeing someone for your own therapy. I think chatting to HR is the first most and most important thing that you...

In my experience, those that are successful in being granted funding, are those that have a lot of support from their to-be-supervisor. It can be a political minefield, and so it can be a lot easier with someone on your side. I wou...

1. I only got the bloody job!
2. Amazing, considering I thought the interview was tomorrow, so had done very little prep
3. This is going to make such a difference to my family as my crazy 1.5 hour commute will be halved
4. Dreading telling my lovely boss and team
5. Wine time!

Miriam - are you a powerlifter?!
My mum lifted competitively throughout my youth, then moved onto coaching. She's been the British paras coach for over 10 years
Funny how worlds collide!

Re: Anyone with young children?
Sorry, El, I've only just seen that you asked a question! It worked out fantastically. I went part time. I was on placement 3 days a week, and then at home 2. Then, at the end of placement/ the course I was on a two day a week contract to complete my research. The course could not have been more hel...

Oh I see, do you mean buying a new, older version? Interesting, shall look.

Second hand WISC-iv
Afternoon all. I'm working for a charity (as a clinical psychologist), and we're looking to buy a WISC. Obviously, quite pricey brand new, so I wondred whether anyone knew whether there's any way of getting one second hand? Probably not, but I would love to save the team budget some pennies!
