I am a third-year Trainee Clinical Psychologist and as part of my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I am recruiting participants for my study: How Can Team Formulation Work Best in Clinical Psychology Practice? This study aims to describe how Clinical Psychologists best implement team formulation th...

Re: NHS Practitioner Psych Workforce Census?
Myself & and a fellow trainee on my course are also looking for this information. Specifically, we want to know the approximate number of clinical psychologists working in the NHS in England and Wales. Does anyone have any ideas how we could go about finding this? Or if this data has since been ...

Re: Degree classification question
Congratulations on getting a first! As part of the application process you upload your academic transcript. Some universities may look at specific module scores. I'm not sure if all of them do. Also to note that if you have some relevant research experience when you get to the application stage this...

Re: Service Review/ Outcomes
Hi, Are you looking to show change over time - if so is this for individual patients or for all patients seen in the service? Does therapy offered mean the same as people who engaged/completed in the therapy? One idea could be to take the average pre-therapy score and compare with the average post-t...

Re: Trent 2015
does anyone know when we will next find out anything eg: location of first placement and when DBS checks are due back etc? bw I think it's mid to the end of July for DBS to come back to us. Not sure about placement info but I thought they sent us the details before we get started in September. This...

Re: NHS Continuous Service
Hi, I also had this query. I rang the HR department at the NHS trust I will be starting with in September. They advised that if I took a three week break this may affect redundancy pay but would not affect the continuous service which counts towards annual leave. I'd been told before (by a different...

Re: Trent 2015
Thank you Toria that's helpful. Sorry to ask another question - How do the year two and three placements work? (Eg are all four placements in your home trust?) And how much choice do you get in the third year specialist placement? Thanks x

Re: Trent 2015
Hi both, I'm training at Lincoln too. I interviewed on the Monday. I live in between Nottingham and Lincoln. From what I know of Lincoln the area covered by the course/ services is huge (think its the largest county in England) and is very rural. For first year placements I think they are mostly AMH...
