Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

I hope you're feeling better - how are you finding your KSA prep? Struggling with mine a little at the moment. Are you hoping to apply for step 3 this year for autumn intake? Thank you :) Still a bit ill but getting there. I have an interview for Step 3 trainee on Friday, so yes :) Still waiting to...

Re: Trainee PWP Interview

Hi Guys, I've been lucky enough to get 2 interviews for a trainee PWP position. Both are with NHS trusts, one in Cumbria and the other in Southampton. I was wondering if anyone knew the kind of questions they may ask? The Southampton interview mentioned a role play activity which I knew would be pa...

Re: UCL PWP applications

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on how competitive these places are (low intensity) and how many students they take on at each intake? My target is for 2019 to apply so that I can get more experience but because I'm planning far in advance, I'm concerned I may wait it out on this f...

Re: Interpreter Services in South East,

Hi all, I am a newbie to the ClinPsy Forum, but wondered if you would be able to give some suggestions. I work in a small service in South East and currently having a nightmare with the interpreting service. They won’ give consistency with interpreters, cancel interpreting last minute and recently ...

Re: LiveChat event 2018: University of Surrey team online Q&A

I would certainly be interested. 1. Whether there are additional examination dates or whether the written exam will only be on 16th February 2019. 2. How placements are allocated - do trainees rate the localities or is it randomised by the university? 3. Is there a preference around the type of expe...

Imposter syndrome... advice please

Hi everyone, I've recently started a new job and although it's very exciting I can feel imposter syndrome setting in the more and more I move away from my comfort zone. I have read lots of topics on the forum around this but I was wondering what have people done or found helpful in managing imposter...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

Thank you mungle, that is very kind of you... I hope so too! Be kind to yourself Victoriomantic - I sadly wasn't offered an interview for any of the courses this year which was really disheartening but things will all work out in the end. If you're still waiting to hear back I wish you lots of luck...

Hi there, I'm an AP working with non-psychosis adult groups. Myself and some colleagues are looking at piloting a group that helps clients better manage the transition from secondary mental health care to primary mental health care. Does anyone know of any existing group work on this difficult tran...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. I've been offered a job interview for the next step up from my current job. Excited by this and incredibly nervous as I know the people interviewing me. Questioning my clinical ability again but I do know I can do this job. 2. Actually cannot believe i've been offered an interview! :D 3. I really...

Re: Next intake for UCL PWP course?

Hi Roslo, I think that the funding for PWP courses may have now stopped so perhaps that is the reason for UCL not advertising one at the moment. Maybe it's worth giving them a call directly though and confirming this. Good luck with it. The PWP courses are still being funded. I believe applications...

Have been invited to interview for a research assistant post with leading MH trust, but I am so happy as an Assistant Psychologist at the moment. on the off chance I attend...
