Re: Help me pick a doctorate course

Current Trent trainee here (1st year, which is skewed towards cbt). I'd definitely say it's more of an all rounder course, a good dolop of CBT but we have assignments and teaching on other methods and all our placements are quite integrative. But it also values research, and academics... It is an al...

Re: Reserve lists for places

Hi all! Any news on teeside would be greatly appreciated, they don't give out any info about your place on the reserve list and it's driving me crazy!

Thanks :-)

Re: Whether to state 'high' 2:1 and if so, where?

I'd also be interested to know this.

Also, out of curiosity, how did you work out your percentage? I'm sure I've got a "high" 2:1 but if I'm explicitly mentioning it on my application I want it to be accurate.

Re: Funding

I work with somebody (sort of) involved in the shortlisting process and they've said at this point nobody knows, but it was the same case last year too so not to worry too much. If you wait for confirmation it'll probably be too late to apply so might as well go about normal business until we hear o...

Re: Only applying to one course centre

I can't move either so that's definitely influenced where I apply to, but in previous years I've applied to Cov/Warwick because they give some feedback at application stage. I have no intention of going there, but its just nice to try and see where I can improve my application since I've never been ...

Application form is different this year?

Hi All, Has anybody noticed that the application form format is different this year? I'm sure previous years you could click "update" or save or something and it didn't class it as complete (the tick didn't appear at the side), and also you didn't have to completely finish the page before ...

I've still not heard back from Trent, anybody else in this position? I know there's still plenty of time left but I'm impatient :P Especially since I've seen both reds and greens from Trent...

Re: The 0 Club

Still waiting to hear back from a final course, but everybody else got their greens earlier in the week and it seems reds are just dripping through, so I doubt I've got that. I'm 25, second time applying, and I felt really ready. Like I've gotten everything I need to get on. I'm doing a masters and ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Trent Cov Newcastle Teeside Just got an email from Newcastle now. Knew I wouldn't get an interview really because of the way they select applicants (very academic heavy), but I'm based in the North East and moving away would be a huge deal. I still want to hear back from Trent though, because I real...

Still no letter or email from cov - I even went to greet the post lady at the end of my drive! I got a little excited when I saw a letter from Newcastle, but it was just info about my Masters I'm currently doing there. Boo :|

Still waiting for 3 too, and I have a chest infection so I can only breathe very shallowly - its not helping the anxiety at all!

We just got some post, but it was a leaflet-er - I was so annoyed :P I just want to know already!

Gutted, since its the first to hear back from to me and it was my first choice and my heart was really set on it :\ still go...
