Re: Sheffield 2018

I've made the group on Facebook, if you search Sheffield DClinPsy 2018, you should hopefully find it, let me know if not! :)

Re: Sheffield 2018

Great, I'll set it up! I think I just need the email address you've connected to Facebook with from one more person in order to set it up. So if one of you wouldn't mind PM-ing me it, I can do it :)

Re: Sheffield 2018

Hi Chris, can't wait to start either!
Completely agree that everyone seemed so nice at the interview, got a really good feel from it!
By the way, a few courses seem to be setting up Facebook groups to make it easier to chat before the course, should I set up one for Sheffield?

Re: Reserve lists for places

I have accepted a place elsewhere, so there should be a place for the first person on the UCL reserve list now! :D Thank you! :D I started as 2nd reserve and have just received an offer so I'm not sure how many people are yet to confirm but whoever started as UCL's 3rd reserve will be 1st reserve n...

Re: Sheffield 2018

Ooh exciting, congratulations!
Thank you so much, any advice on which areas to live in and when to start looking would be super helpful as I've only been in Sheffield once for the interview! It also seems like a car is necessary, do you think this is the case?

Re: European citizens

Hello I am an EEA citizen, and I've been offered a place this year too! I haven't actually asked the universities directly, although that sounds like a good idea. I'm just going on the guarantee the government has offered that fee status won't change for courses starting 2018-19. https://study-uk.br...

Re: UCL or Sheffield?

Thanks so much all, super helpful!! I feel like I am likely to choose Sheffield at this point, but am waiting for my partner to hear back from a couple of jobs (not near Sheffield sadly!) before deciding completely. Thanks again!

Re: UCL or Sheffield?

Thanks so much for replying firegal :) Sorry, I probably did not make myself clear - I am aware a large part of both courses will be CBT and am prepared that some of this will be repetition for me as I will have just finished my high intensity CBT training before I start. I feel a bit silly for not ...

Re: UCL or Sheffield?

Thanks so much maven and conoro27! Really appreciate the replies :) I do think I am leaning more towards Sheffield at the moment, as I would like to get out of London too. I have only heard good things about UCL from people I know who's done/doing their course, and it seems to be very well regarded,...

UCL or Sheffield?

I've somehow found myself in the incredibly fortunate position of having two offers for the doctorate, and am now struggling to decide. I feel super lucky to have a choice, and want to make sure I make the right one! I know a few people who's done the UCL course, but none at Sheffield, which makes i...

Re: The Big Interview Reserve List Thread

I've just withdrawn from the Trent interview as I've been offered a place somewhere else :D so anyone waiting for Trent interview should hopefully be offered one soon!
