Re: Therapy prioritisation in psychosis
I'm not in EIS, but as far as I know those should be standard.

Re: Therapy prioritisation in psychosis
I would always prioritise veterans who's mh difficulties were due to their service I'm some way, as well as perinatal women (up to a year after the child's birth). Those are standard prioritising criteria from NICE and the veterans charter thingy.

Provisional accreditation is usually what is required to get a band 7 post.

Re: Got PG Dip - do I need a KSA ...?
You'll need to be accredited with BACP or UKCP. The pg dip on it's own is not enough. You can check on the BABCP website, just in case I am out of date!

Re: Views on working as an HI/CBT therapist within IAPT
Sorry. Having formatting issues! 've also worked on my own resilience and on my previous procrastination ishoos. That helps. I have been in my current service for more than 7 years and was one of the first cohorts of PWPs. That is a bit terrifying  but I think the length of time served has give...

Re: Views on working as an HI/CBT therapist within IAPT
My job plan is pretty clear, I stick to it and no one bothers me. I am known as a hard worker and my current and previous line managers dislike micro management. There are (a lot of) targets, but I have found some way to live with them 8) I am very organised (used to be a pwp!), and I have construct...

Re: Views on working as an HI/CBT therapist within IAPT
I acquired further training in IPT and now EMDR, I supervise all of the therapists in my locality. I was offered managerial roles, with potential to go up to band 8, I politely declined  I am very glad I exited clinical psychology, and escaped into IAPT. I love the amount of time I get to spend ...

Re: NHS-funded private service: still an NHS employee?
Not necessarily. I would contact them. Our PWPs are employed by Mind in an organisation that has Mind, NHS and Relate. The PWPs are not NHS employees, yet we do advertise their jobs on NHS jobs.

Re: I have social anxiety - could I be a clinical psychologi
Definitely look into accessing some cbt. I would start with your local IAPT service rather than the university counselling service (unless they also offer CBT).
One of my cbt therapist colleagues had cbt herself for social anxiety, she's a very good, competent, lovely therapist

Re: Plan B-IAPT
Does anyone have any advice on where to start looking for such posts? Do posts ever come up in Norfolk? Thanks in advance! They do, but possibly not on a regular basis, just when there are vacancies. Norfolk Wellbeing Service advertises on NHS jobs, the PWPs are currently employed by Mind on a lowe...

Re: PWP Training Courses
My service only advertises PWP posts when we have a vacancy, and then we commission the training from the university when we have a need to. There's obviously not as many services in my area, and so we don't have the need for yearly, giant, training courses. I would keep an eye out on NHS jobs, as t...
