Re: UCL PWP training: What experience should I have to apply

Hello! Thought I'd add my twopence to the discussion for some more insight :D When you say you have volunteering experience, in which settings/capacity has this been in? Whilst I would say it might not be essential to have NHS experience before PWP training, I would say it would be almost essential ...

AP supporting statement dilemma

Hi everyone! Yet another one of these threads relating to AP applications ( sorry   ) but I'm having a bit of an internal dilemma. As "AP application season" is upon us again, I have made my first handful of AP applications ever within the last couple of weeks, however I would like to as...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Same! Within the week  Good luck though, it's reassuring to hear that they prompted you for further details too... Let me know when you hear back. I can't stand all the waiting! I've already convinced myself it went bad and there's no chance but there's still that glimmer of hope that won't di...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

I also got prompted. There were times I think I didn't fully answer the questions so they had to ask me sub-questions before I added more of what they may have been looking for. There was a lot of nodding and note-taking which I guess could be a good sign? I don't know really. What's done is done a...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Apologies for the late reply, been bogged down with a cold and trying to recover! Any news yet, Jason712? Perhaps they are giving out interviews exactly one week before they are held? My interview for Westminster is next Thursday (to which I received my offer yesterday) so perhaps Friday inter...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Thanks Sofia! I emailed the team and got an automated reply back saying interview information will be sent out later on this week - so literally a week before interviews! Good luck to everyone applying, fingers crossed for us all! Thanks for the update hollyhock and good luck again to everyone that...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

I think it could take up to 6 weeks. I had to wait for a while both times (had to apply twice before I got it), first time for a March intake and waited for 4-5 weeks until I heard back. Hope this helps and good luck to everyone :) Thanks for letting us know, Sofia! It is a bit frustrating if it wi...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Hello! Has anyone received an invitation for interview yet? I tried to call and email the Admissions team about 10 days ago before the Christmas period took hold, but no-one has been around to answer/reply. Would definitely be cutting it fine if they wait until early January, considering the applica...

Re: Good degree but low mark on dissertation?

Thanks for all of the support everyone :D I guess it is a setback in a sense but from what I have seen/the advice of you all, I don't think it will cause too much of a commotion to my application. I will definitely consider test centres with selection tests, lingua_franca, and thank you Maven for cl...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. Are we ever going to see a consistency in the weather considering it's July? I'd at least like to enjoy my free time without constantly checking the colour of the clouds! 2. Hoping that employment comes along soon. I'm such a natural self-doubter and I know that's going to be my worst enemy on th...

Re: Good degree but low mark on dissertation?

Hi everyone! Thank you for the replies. I appreciate it is hard to judge these things because it will depend on a range of factors in my subsequent applications but this has at least convinced me that I will be okay. I had not considered publishing my dissertation so thank you! It will take re-writi...

Good degree but low mark on dissertation?

Hi everyone! Thought it was finally time to engage with the Clin Psy community instead of passively reading all the threads for the last couple of years  I have a question/concern and I would be grateful if I could get some advice on the situation. I've just finished my undergrad degree and I ...
