Re: References
I had the same situation. I wrote an explanation as to why I chose an old reference (I.e. new supervisor might not be able to accurately or confidently comment on my skills) and I got on the course that year too

Re: Research interview question
I was a bit stressed about the research part of my interview also. I only have my Undergraduate dissertation that counts as true "research" experience (rather than audit or service evaluation etc which I have plenty of experience with!) and I did that 5 years ago. As expected, in my resear...

Re: UEA 2017
I still live in Great Yarmouth, but me and my partner are now looking to buy a house as we know where we are going to be for the next three years, so I will be doing the same as you and taking Seprember off to organise this. It helps that my current contract runs out in August anyway  exciting ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy
Leeds Teesside Newcastle ---> Newcastle I'm pretty gutted. I ended up at the top of the reserve list last year and felt like this interview went SO MUCH better. I'm sorry to hear that Hockeygirl. I felt the same way about my Oxford interview, and I was reserve for them last year too. I got verbal f...

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?
My journey looks like this: > Graduated my BSc Psychology in 2012 with a 1st. > Volunteered at MIND and The Stroke Association as a Support Worker full time for a year. Was in a bit of a paid job limbo :( > Got my first paid job in a Mental Health setting in 2013 as a Therapeutic Support Worker at a...

Re: How many times did you apply?
Just to give my experience, I graduated in 2012 but waited until I felt ready in 2016 to apply my first time. This year is my second year applying and I am thrilled to say that I have been offered a place :D I feel even more ready to be on training this year, and although I wanted it just as much la...
