My belief is that age is only a factor if your thoughts and beliefs about this MAKE it a factor. Loads of people retrain or find a new profession in their late 30's and 40's ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

I'm not hopeful but would like to get the outcome behind me. Anyone heard anything?... I caved in and phoned them - they said they have had loads o...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

Anyone heard back from Salomons yet? I just found out that my phone has not been working for few days so I called Salomons to let them know and I was told that 'some people had started to call and others had not...' So I assume that most of us have not heard yet... Ahh cool. I just figured there wo...

Actually, I just got a call from them and have been offered an interview, so it has moved at least one place.

Re: declaring a disability - wishing I hadn't

I think what courses may well be interested in is your ability to creatively manage, and possibly overcome, difficulties allowing yourself to carry out your job / studies / whatever sufficiently. Luckily you have an interview where you can discuss how you have been able to manage your anxiety throug...

Re: Managing interview anxiety

Just to add, which has been touched on in previous answers, don't assume that you only have a "maximum of a few seconds" to blurt out an answer. Thank you for the replies. I found some good stuff on the NHS England website as well if anyone else is interested in this.

I work in the NHS so have some ideas but I wonder if anyone can direc...
