How to list your qualifications after your name?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had advice on the correct way to list your qualifications under your name, for example, on a business card or email signature. Would it be: >Firstname Lastname BSc (Hons) MBPsS MSc I have graduate basis for BPS membership from my undergrad but my MSc wasn't accredite...

Clinical Experience Abroad?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting clinical placements abroad. What avenues did you go through? Did you enjoy the experience? Was it an advantage when applying to the DClinPsy or did it not really count for much? (Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I wasn't sure where to put it.)

Re: Does it look bad to do more than one MA/MSc before DClin

Thank you for the input, Lingua. Mavern is correct, I have an MA that is, guess marginally relevant, but now have two offers for MSc courses which are relevant. I am thinking of doing one MSc this year (17/18) and the other the year after. I have GBC but immediately after my degrees took a year pret...

Does it look bad to do more than one MA/MSc before DClinPsy?

I had an undergrad in Psychology and previously did an MA in History. I wanted to study a Master's degree more relevant to Psychology next year so that I can apply to the DClinPsy in a few years time. I applied to two MSc programs. One is geared toward research and the other toward clinical theory. ...

Re: Applying with the Double Tick system

RJ, my worry is that the assessors may not hold the same views as the institution as a whole. And thank you Lingua, that is really reassuring. You've pretty much summed up how I have always felt about it, glad to know that I'm not the only one who has felt that way.

Applying with the Double Tick system

Does anyone have experience of applying with the double tick system? From all I've read, dyslexia would count, and I'm quite severely dyslexic. I don't want to disadvantage my application next year by seeming like I'm trying to get around any competition by using the double tick system, though. Does...

Are there any courses you would advise applicants to avoid?

You tend to only hear the positive things that people have to say about the courses that they have chosen to apply to. I wondered if anyone had any cautions about courses that they had particularly disliked when making application decisions, or had bad experiences with during the process, or even co...
