Re: Assistant Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner - thought

I haven't held the role of "Assistant PWP" but I have been a Psychology Assistant within IAPT. I have to say my experience wasn't the best; I basically just did the assessment stage, meaning 6 assessments a day, 4 days a week. It was repetitive and dull! There was the scope to apply for the PWP trai...

Re: Cardiff 2017

Hi All! I will also be joining the South Wales course in October! I actually already live in Cardiff, so any questions about South Wales living - let me know. I interviewed on the Thursday morning too Katie - so we must have met! Look forward to meeting you all, and congrats again on getting a plac...

Re: Cardiff 2017

Hi Kellie!

I think that's where we will be looking so thank you! I may well be asking for advice on different places nearer the time!

Hope you had a good weekend!

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?

Quite surprised to be able to post in this thread, this has been my first year applying and I gained 1 rejection, 3 interviews- 2 of which I had no offers, and finally one straight offer. 3rd time lucky! My experience feels a little lacking in comparison to some, so I do feel that being quite reflec...

Re: Plymouth 2017

Hi both! I'm not joining you at Plymouth but do live here, so very happy to give advice on renting etc :) Plymouth has some very nice and also not nice areas (like anywhere) but it's quite variable, so I'd suggest looking around at potentials and I'm happy to advise as to whether to avoid or not! Fe...

Re: Cardiff 2017

Hello! I'll be joining you in October! I interviewed Thursday morning. Didn't think I had done well enough to get on so feeling really shocked still- not sure it's sunk in. I'll be moving from Plymouth with my partner and he will most likely be transferring to a branch of his work in Bristol, so cur...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

So now it's looking like this: cardiff plymouth ----> plymouth bath ----> bath exeter Hoping my feedback from Bath will be helpful as I thought it was a good interview. One more chance this year but still feeling quite dejected and struggling to remain hopeful! I feel like my academic/research inter...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

Just because I felt in a horrible limbo all day thought it might be better to know...I got a call from Bath today that I'm very far down the reserve list (as in they said not to expect to get a place). Was also expecting to see people post here, perhaps they just let reserve people know? A reserve ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

Has anyone been called by Bath today? Assuming no call means unsuccessful but seems strange that no one has posted saying they've been offered a place? I've been waiting too. No news isn't necessarily bad news though? If they only finished interviews yesterday maybe it's taken longer to decide...th...
