Re: Plymouth 2018

Hi I am thinking through my options at present... but I am not sure moving is an option. Obviously I can't turn down this opportunity, but feeling abit stuck with it all. If I am honest I am hoping with all the change that can occur between now and June, perhaps someone may turn down an offer and I...

I have been allocated Cornwall (unfortunately, simply because I already live in Devon and the commute from where I live is about 2 1/2 hours....) First off, Congratulations to you all!!! (...

Re: How to improve academic on application

I would recommend 'Reflective Practice in Psychotherapy and Counselling' by Jacqui Stedmon and Rudi Dallos. I may be slightly biased because i'm currently studying at Plymouth and Rudi and Jacqui are lecturers on the course. HOWEVER, in my first year applying, I interviewed at Plymouth and ended up ...

Re: Do I have enough experience to get onto clinical trainin

As someone currently on training, I would say its not about the 'amount' of experience you have, but how you can apply what you've learnt from this experience to being a Clinical Psychologist. There is a HUGE variety of experience within the trainees on our course and we all bring something complete...

Re: Hertfordshire 2017

Re: Reserve List Updates Thread

Thank so for the info - I am second reserve at Plymouth (sounds like first now!) Soo nerve racking - did they say if all the places are now accepted? Hi Cornishclare, it's extremely nerve wracking I know exactly how you feel. Unfortunately they didn't say, frustrating to hear I know but I will keep...

Re: Reserve List Updates Thread

For anyone on the Plymouth reserve list, it is yet to move at all. I'm 1st and have been since the outset so there is currently no movement. Fingers crossed I will be updating with some good news and movement at some point.

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

2016 UEL IoPPN RHUL Plymouth -----> Plymouth (10th) I applied solely based on location and threw in Plymouth as a wild card and ended up 10th on the reserve list, I knew it wasn't enough to get a place, but was really grateful for the experience. 2017 Exeter IoPPN Trent -----> Trent Plymouth -----> ...
