When i find myself in this kind of situ (i've had a near complaint and some clients disengage)as well as reflect on what i may or may not have done, or how i could have done it differently, i always try to make sense of whats happened in context of the formulation. Maybe they dropped out of therapy ...

following Hettie.... DNA's within therapy( not just at initial appt) can also be understood through formulation. For example, if workign with a person who has been abused by a trusted person in their past or maybe has avoidant PD( or should i say, avoidant communication style/personal interactions.....
