Re: maternity leave discrimination?

Thanks for the replies. I contacted ACAS who said that it was not clear cut but I might have a cause. However, they warned that the recruiters could argue that I did not have enough experience to fulfil the role. However, that would perhaps only stand if they refused me the job, rather than offering...

maternity leave discrimination?

Hi, Just looking for some advice as i'm not really sure if this is an issue. I qualified almost 3 years ago. I applied for a band 8a job. I've been offered it, but at band 7, the reason being that i have been on some maternity leave since qualifying, so my total experience falls short of 2 years in ...

I'm now applying for the third time, but i definately consider my first attempt as a trial run. I had only one year of postgraduate experience but my clinical supervisor told me to have a go- so I did! I was not expecting anything but I got one interview and a reserve interview. I was slightly relie...

Another thing, what's the point of reading over a submitted application? You are only going to find things that are wrong and fret. I would just leave it alone now :) Exactly! i never look over an application once it's been submitted. but i had to look over it to fill out this dreaded Bath applicat...

yeh, there's nothing I can do about it- so stop worrying. i just can't believe i missed them! It's near the beginning in my other relevant experience so I'm getting overly anxious that they will see it and then not bother to read the rest of my application! but whats done is done!

Really. Put it away, start from scratch. I'm not suggesting you have no similar content, just that you start by writing a form from scratch for this year, not copying and pasting from last year and just changing some things or adding others. I was actually going to do the same, my application was g...

yep, i agree i think courses get too many applications and don't have the time to check whos applied before. but i have heard that some courses have told people to stop applying once they've been rejected a couple of times..... but that maybe just a myth. i wont say what uni but i applied to a cours...

choosing references

Hi just need a bit of advice. This is my third time applying and so far I've always changed my experience reference but have always used the same academic reference. I was wondering if it is advisable to use the same academic reference a third year running. my academic reference is from my project s...

Re: Course centres commutable from London???

I'm trying to broaden my options this year (and lets face it, in the future years of applying) after realising just how steep the competition for London courses in particular is. Last year I applied to IOP, UCL, Royal Holloway and Oxford and didn't get anywhere. This is my 3rd year applying. the la...

I'm on two reserves UCL and IOP and the waiting is awful. UCL i'm near the bottom and IOP i'm in the 'top 10' but not sure where. I actually find the waiting more anxiety provoking than the actual interview. At times I've even wished (a small part of me) that I had straight rejections so that I coul...

UCL
IOP
RHUL
UEL

I'm so happy to be on reserve, especially with the IOP but the waiting is unbearable :x
