Re: Maternity leave/returning to course part time?

Hi, I was just searching this forum for posts about part-time options on courses. As a part-timer (coming back from mat leave and wanting to drop one day a week), I have realised how important this option is for a good work-life balance. Incidently I am on the Lancs course and it does seem we have a...

Re: Lancaster thesis and viva end date

Hi Bubbly, Thesis due date is end of May, and I've been told Vivas happen all across the summer. The official finish date (for 1st year cohort, although I'm unsure this would change) is 31st August. This is when our contract finishes, but there could be outstanding work (amendments on thesis or plac...

Re: Some questions about Clinical and Academic Psychology

Hi, I just wanted to reply to the above poast and point out that you don't HAVE to have a 2:1 minimum. Whilst this really really helps, it can be done with a 2:2. This is coming from someone who got a 2:2, thought their life was over, got onto a Masters, and then got onto Clinical training on the fi...

Re: Lancaster

Hi everyone, Congratulations on getting (and accepting) a place. I'm a 1st yr trainee at Lancaster and wanted to offer some advice based on our current year's situation. There's a few people who live in Lancaster (some moved from within the North West up there), but word of caution - they've been th...

Re: Where to live in Nottingham?

Hiya, As a ex-Nottingham resident of nine years, I would recommend Sherwood/Woodthorpe. It's a nice little area with a few bars, nice little shops (mmmm...deli makes delicious cakes) and a big park. There's hardly any students , it's mostly young professionals. It's a 30 min walk to town, and has lo...

when does Lancaster employment start?

I think Lancaster will sort the clearing house stuff out.....I'm assuming anyway. On another note, does anyone know if employment with the NHS trust for Lancaster starts on 1st September (the formal letter says this is when the course starts)? I've emailed but had no response and need to sort out le...

Lancaster success

I got a yes for Lancaster. I will definitely be accepting as it was my only interview!

I felt that I'd done a good job, so I'm glad they accepted me!

Faye, it's a shame you didn't get on but please apply next year.

Can't wait to start now!!
Jo (Wednesday interviewee for those that were there!)
