Othello: I recommend using Firefox and the "Zotero" plugin - google it. It is pure win. Imagine endnote without the work.

What other formulas are they using? Regardless, reliable change indexes are a family of statistics, so each one will be different anyway.

As an aside, my favourite when dealing with single-case studies is the C-statistic. Might be useful reading for you if you'd never come across it before :)

I expect it depends on the MSc and the department. At both of my Unis (Lincoln and Nottingham) we were allowed to come up with an idea by ourselves and approach supervisors to do it with us, or we were allowed to do one of their projects.
