Re: Yes, I've heard from.....
Has anyone yet to hear from Liverpool? I can see that some people have heard but I haven't got anything!

feedback on application form
Hi I'm applying to the 3 north west uni's this year and so have a 4th choice free. I know most uni's don't give any feedback on the application form. Are there any that do? If there is then I think I will apply to this one as my 4th choice just to get some feedback should I be unsuccessful. Thanks f...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015
This is my fifth year of applying, graduated in 2007, 8 years of AP/RA experience, and a MSc. Nearly gave up last year after a rejection after one interview, and the feedback in return didn't really give me anything to work on!! I'm glad I didn't give up though. Sheffield :D Manchester (as always! ...

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh
My advice would be just be yourself. The best advice I ever got for an interview was 'show some personality because people don't usualy want to employ a robot'. I have to say that was pretty good advice! Just make sure you have a good understanding of IAPT and the role of a PWP and you should be fin...

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh
Hi potential PWP's for Wigan and Leigh.
I work in the service as a HIT (although was previously at step 2). Good luck to you all for your interviews. It's a really friendly and supportive service to work in so you will be in good hands for your training!!

To apply or not to apply
I was just wondering what peoples opinions were on my current dilemma. I'm really debating applying for the course in Sept when the applications open again. I haven't applied before so have no idea what my chances are. I graduated in 2006 with a 2:1. I did voluntary work throughout the summers of un...

Re: PWP reflective essays
Are there any other qualified PWP's in your team? If there are, I would recommend asking them to watch your video and give you some guidance. I did this when doing my PGCert and whilst its awful having someone watching your video, the person who watched mine really helped and gave me great feedback ...

Re: university of Cumbria (high intensity) start date??
Hi Tara I posted this last year, no idea what is happening this year because I ended up turning down the post at halton and st helens because we were being messed around left right and centre. Luckily I managed to get on the high intensity course in the team I was already working. They ended up last...

Re: BABCP/IAPT standpoint on PWPs -> CBT
Couldn't agree more Will, backwards is putting it mildly! What insults me is that in the last service I worked at there was no respect for Graduate workers (i've been called junior staff, unqualified etc etc), its taking a long time for the role to gain respect in its own right. People don't realise...

Baa, I also agree with your hypothesis! If someone was to do that piece of research it would make very interesting reading!

Re: BABCP/IAPT standpoint on PWPs -> CBT
The thing that annoys me is that you are so disadvantaged as a psychology graduate which ever direction you turn. I have just completed my High Intensity training, within the time frame of 10 months and passed everything first time. I had 18 months post qualification Graduate mental health worker ex...

Re: Straw Poll - Number of Contacts per week.
I have worked in 2 primary care mental health teams and they both worked completely differently (even though they are part of the same trust!). One had an expectation of 4 contacts per session (which is half a day) with 9 half days in clinic and 1 half day admin. total 36 contacts which were 45 minu...

Re: KSA assessment process for HI trainee applicants
I think the goal posts have changed over the last year or so with regards to the 2 year post qualification experience. For wave 2 there were people who I know who were successful for high intensity with just over 6 months post qualification experience. However by wave 3 they had enforced the 2 year ...
