CBT for Paruresis (Shy Bladder)

Hi all

I'm currently working with a male client suffering with Paruresis. I was wondering if anyone had worked on this before and had found anything particularly effective? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: London High Intensity Trainee posts

Well that's what I'm hoping, mine isn't even close to being finished, I've a lot of signatures and references to get still.

Re: London High Intensity Trainee posts

Hi LIWY, Thanks for your reply. I replied to the email yesterday but have not had anything back yet. I'll give them a ring tomorrow but didn't want to pester them so was hoping others might have some information. In the email it asks me to bring passport, 3 photos and core academic qualifications, n...

London High Intensity Trainee posts

Hi Guys, I've somehow managed to get myself an interview for the trainee HI posts in London. I was just wondering whether anyone knew what we are expected to provide regarding our KSA at interview. It doesn't mention anything in the email that I received so wasn't sure if this would be assessed at a...

KSA - When to complete?

Hi everyone, I've recently applied for the trainee high intensity posts in London. I don't have a core profession so am going down the KSA route. It's not clear on either the job advert or the BABCP website whether the KSA has to be completed for inteview, for the beginning of the course or during t...

Leeds reserve list

Hi, has anybody that's on the reserve list for interview at Leeds been able to find out where they are on the list, or even how many people are on the list?

Thank you

Reserve list for interview

Hi, I'm on the reserve list for interview at Teesside (7th) and Leeds. Anyone else in the same position or know how much they moved last year? And has anyone on the Leeds reserve list been able to find out their place or even how many are on the list?

Thanks

Further experience through IAPT

Hi, applied for the doctorate for the first time this year, got one interview but unfortunately didn't get on so I'm looking for ways to improve my application for December. I'm currently working as a PWP within IAPT and was wondering if anyone else had been in the same role and what kind of extra t...

Re: Work Experience Abroad

That's great thanks. What is it you did and how did you get round to doing it? I do really want to travel whilst I'm young and have no ties, but wanted to do something that was relevant, even if it doesn't particularly add to my CV I would still like to experience another culture whilst sticking wit...

Work Experience Abroad

Hi everyone, I'm trying to build up my work experience for the Clinical doctorate and would really like to try something abroad. Does anyone have any experience of this or know where I can get it? I would like something psychology/mental health related to add to my CV and although paid would always ...

Re: PWP to CBT Training

Thanks, I realise it's not that easy to just walk into a CBT trainee post but I just wanted to make sure I didn't rule myself out of the opportunity just because I was 1% off in one exam!

PWP to CBT Training

Hi guys, I'm currently doing my PWP training and the CBT training is something I may consider for the future. One of my colleagues said that to do the CBT training you need 50% in all pieces of work for the PG certificate. Does anyone know if this is correct? I got 49% in one of my exmas but have go...

The head office is based in Chesterfield, but then one day a week at uni in Nottingham and going to be working mainly from GPs surgeries around Derbyshire. I'm not entirely sure why my job is with Lincolnshire NHS when it's not even in Lincolnshire!

Where's your interview at?

A very brief one, only took 5 minutes, really straightforward so don't worry about that, but be prepared to talk about what you've written. Yeah excited about starting, been waiting 3 months and still got another month to go so it seems like forever!

It's not much different from a normal interview really. Just make sure you can explain in detail why you want the job, know what the job involves and about the stepped care model. Make sure you're prepared for questions about the uni course as well and how you'll cope with the workload. Good luck wi...
