Re: Mature student considering clinical/counselling psycholo

Hi David, Thanks very much for the reply. I'm sorry things haven't worked out quite as you imagined but thank you for your honesty. I would definitely look into transferring into the 2nd year of a different Counselling Psychology programme - think that would be ideal. From what I've heard, City Univ...

I haven't seen any PWP vacancies advertised for London and I've been looking for the last 6 weeks! Am I missing something?!

Re: Mature student considering clinical/counselling psycholo

Hi there David,

I enjoyed reading your previous pst. I just wonder what you decided upon in the end? Are you on a clinical/counselling psychology doctorate now?

Re: Psychology conversion or psychotherapy?

Thank you all for your replies. It's a tough one for me. On the one hand, I think a full Psychology training is more thorough and that perhaps I would be limiting myself if I just go down the Psychotherapy route. On the other hand, I do know my preferences (although I suppose psychologists may event...

Psychology conversion or psychotherapy?

Hello all, I'm at the crucial point where I'm deciding what exactly I need to do next to get me where I want to be career-wise. I have an undergraduate in Music (First Class Honours) and an MA in Psychosocial Studies from Birkbeck, University of London (Distinction). I am really interested in workin...

NHS still going to pay trainee clinical psychologist fees?

Hi there,
I just had a thought. The government in the UK are increasing college fees threefold and so I was wondering will the NHS still be bale to pay for trainee clinical psychologists' fees, or will this salary be reduced?

Thanks for the replies. Elizabeth - the MA/MSc Applied Music Psychology course in the University of Roehampton is designed primarily for psychology graduates (as is the one in Goldsmith's), but they accept music graduates too. A psychology degree is beneficial but not essential to get into these cou...

Which psychology conversion course to do/Nottingham Trent?

Hello,
Would anybody be able to recommend a psychology conversion course? Does it really matter which Uni you go to for the conversion course? I was wondering does anybody have experience of the psychology conversion course at the University of Nottingham Trent?

Music psychology MA, Psychology conversion MSc or both?

Hey there, I'm just after finishing a degree in music (BMus) with first class honours and know that I want to branch into psychology in some way, although my mind keeps changing on this matter. I was considering doing an MA in Music psychology either in the University of Sheffield, University of Roe...
