Private messages stayin in outbox??

Hi all. I rarely use the private messaging function on this, but recently got a few messages from others, which I've tried to reply to. When I try to send a reply, my messages just seem to sit in the outbox folder rather than transferring to the sent items folder. Is this supposed to happen? I had a...

Re: Msc in Psychological Therapy/Applied Psychology

Hi JimmyJay I completed the Adult CAAP course at Stirling/Dundee a few years ago now. Prior to getting on the course I has worked for 3 years as an Assistant Psychologist; prior to that I had been a research assistant for about 2 years, and a support worker before that. However, I always got the imp...

Re: Advice on starting a blog?

Great to hear Tyrus, well done! To expand on miriam's points about blogging thoughts you want to organise - it can help to link a blog with a twitter account, not just for advertising your content but also for those thoughts that aren't quite in depth enough for a blog post but still on your centra...

Re: Advice on starting a blog?

Hi Miriam, Thought I would let know that I have finally started blogging, albeit not very much yet. Unfortunately I ended up physically unwell for quick a few months at the beginning of the year so everything else took a backseat. That and my perfectionistic anxieties were holding me back from getti...

Re: Free Lectures on ethics and morals in psychology

Hi Maven

Thanks for sharing this. They all sound fab. Unfortunately being in the North East, I doubt I'd be able to get down for them. But thanks for sharing the link to the videos as well; even just from a quick scan of them, there's loads I'm keen to watch!

:)

Re: John Burnham paper

Hi all,

I know this is an old thread, but in my recent quest to find this (apparently elusive yet sought after) paper Google directed me here.

Is there anyone who still has a copy of the paper and would be willing to send it to me if possible?

Kind regards
Tyrus

Re: Advice on starting a blog?

Thank you both for the advice. It is something I have been thinking about for a while and as you say Miriam I just need to start writing. The only way I'll get more confident about it is to do it! :)

Advice on starting a blog?

Hi all I wondered if anyone could give me some advice/share their experiences. Having recently started the Dclin Psy training I have been thinking about starting a blog as a way of helping me organise my thoughts and make sense of/cope with the experience and also because I'd be keen to improve my w...

Re: What do you love most about your course?

3rd year Newcastle: 1. Phenomenal research staff. Hugely knowledgeable, supportive, get you from A to B even if you're a total research goon (hands up). 2. The location. I like it a lot, and you can live by the beach and still get in to the city in 25 minutes by train, 12 minutes by car. 3. Placeme...

Re: Audio-books/podcasts for the car

Hi I'm about to embark on a new long distance commute and have been thinking about using audiobooks too. I have been listening to the "All in the Mind" podcasts (and there is a lot of them) as well as the "Philosophy Bites" podcasts for something a little less psychology related lol. A friend of min...

I'm not particularly organised either Tom...only just got my flatshare sorted out last week and dont actually have time to pack until the day before I move at this rate lol. Re: Newcastle

Hi everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with the online student registration with Newcastle Uni...it wont let me complete the registration as it says they're waiting on me paying the course fees. Is anyone else having that issue? I have sent a messa...
