Re: UCL 2017 intake

I also got prompted. There were times I think I didn't fully answer the questions so they had to ask me sub-questions before I added more of what they may have been looking for. There was a lot of nodding and note-taking which I guess could be a good sign? I don't know really. What's done is done a...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

I got an email few hours ago!! Congratulations! Which two places did you apply to? Thanks Jason! I applied for Southwark and Lambeth. I think application only gets sent to your first choice at the first instance. If you have a good interview and the 2nd choice gets it if you had a good interview bu...

Thanks Sofia!

I emailed the team and got an automated reply back saying interview information will be sent out later on this week - so literally a week before interviews! Good luck to everyone applying, fingers crossed for us all!

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Hello! Has anyone received an invitation for interview yet? I tried to call and email the Admissions team about 10 days ago before the Christmas period took hold, but no-one has been around to answer/reply. Would definitely be cutting it fine if they wait until early January, considering the applic...

Clinical Support Worker vs Therepeutic Care Worker

Hey guys! So currently I am working as a CSW in a CAMHS acute ward, I have been invited to an interview for a Therepeutic Care Worker post in an eating disorder unit. Looking through both the job descriptions the duties sound very similar, of course in my current ward there are individuals with a va...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Hey!

Thanks for the update! I hope (and would imagine) more services would be opening up places. I know this intake is smaller but can't imagine it being as small as just a few places!

Good luck to all those applying!

Body image & eating behaviours - Muslim Indian women only!

Hi! I am a MSc Clinical and Community Psychology student. I am completing a study exploring how Muslim women of Indian origin experience their body image and eating behaviours. A very specific, under-researched population so would be wonderful if anyone can take part! The study will take approximate...

Re: UCL 2017 intake

Hi Sohael,

I emailed UCL asking that same question and here is their response:

We currently expect applications for the March 2017 intake to be open for the first full week in December 2016 only. It is not possible to start or submit an application until this window opens.

Hope that helps!

Re: Writing the best possible application for trainee PWP

Hey PurpleBear! I will be applying for the PWP training too, can I ask where it is you'll be applying - is it UCL? From my knowledge of other people who got in they talked about building relationships with boundaries, managing risk and working in a structured way as well as managing time. It would b...

What can I expect from clinical support worker post in CAMHs

Hey guys, I am not sure if this is the correct section of the website to be posting but here goes. I have recently been accepted for a clinical support worker post in CAMHS in an open adolescent unit. They deal with people with diagnosed or suspected mental illness that cannot be safely managed by o...
