Re: Student card?
Thanks everyone. I thought that was the case but just wanted to check. Great news about the council tax exemption! Didn't realise that!

Student card?
I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but are trainees classed as a student? Do you get a student card from the university? I only ask because full time students are entitled to get a railcard which would really help travel costs if I had to commute from quite far on the train. But I'm n...

Re: Birmingham placements
Thanks for your advice. I will be doing a practice run when I go for the interview next week so this is all 'what if' anyway, as I may not even get a place!

Hi BurtonRocks,
I can't tell you much about the reserve list movement for Birmingham but I have an interview there on monday 23rd april. I believe that is the last day of interviews and they start next wednesday. Sorry I can't be of much more help. Good luck! hope the list moves for you.

Birmingham placements
Hi
I was hoping any current birmingham trainees or anyone with information could tell me where placements are likely to be? Is it only the birmingham area (i.e. wolverhampton, bromsgrove, walsall...) or more further afield like Derby?
Thanks

I've just turned 30. This is my first time applying and I've got one interview, and still waiting to hear from another course. I feel I may be one of the older ones!

Re: Progress thread for Clinical Psychology applications 201
First time applying and after two rejections I really thought my application wasn't good enough and had given up until I got an interview letter yesterday! I really was so surprised! I guess it shows that there probably is very little distinguishing candidates from one another and it must be so hard...

Also are they likely to email or post a letter?

Re: Leicester screening tests - how did people find it?
I was just wondering if anyone knows how the selection panel decide who gets an interview? Is it based on only your results of the computer test? Or is it a combination of your score on the computer test and your application form? It baffles me how they are able to decide from such a huge number of ...

I also want to say a big thank you to Miriam for organising the day and to everyone that attended.
I found it a really useful experience and I got a lot out of it. Good luck to everyone! Fingers crossed we all get interviews!

Re: Leicester computer test
I was under the impression that the test tomorrow is more about research methods, design and analysis and less about psychological theories. That would be assessed at the interview? I could be wrong though!
I have just been trying to brush up on research methods.
Good luck everyone!
