Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

Thanks Lingua, that's comforting to know you and your friend drifted back together. I could make more effort with mine, she's always been busy with kids or running before but can't hurt to try again. She's gained some good friends from running, and thinking about it they're all sharing a struggle wi...

Effing stupid effing training provider, if I fail it is YOUR FAILURE for not providing me with good enough supervision what with all the drift into another therapy modality and over sharing of your life, and I'll be so ready to make a formal complaint about it >:[

Things I won't miss about my job: 1. People walking in to my "clinic room" to get their lunch because the fridge is in here 2. Working in a room that also stores clinical waste and is right next to the back door that SLAMS shut and makes my poor clients jump out of their skin! 3. Not feeling part of...

At what stage of HI training is the KSA portfolio required?

Hi all, hope someone can help me out? I'm a pwp looking to apply for high intensity trainee positions and/or a self funded iapt cbt diploma course, as I don't have a core profession I know at some point I'll need to submit the dreaded ksa portfolio, but at what stage, and to who? Would I need to sub...

Re: What is it really like to work in IAPT?

Thanks LIWY, Pwps in my service often get cases we've stepped bounced back from HI cbt-ers too because they don't fit neatly into their boxes, though this varies among the cbt therapists depending on their previous trainings, personalities and top up trainings eg compassion focused therapy, ACT. I'd...

I have worked in 2 services as a pwp and it was al...

Re: PWP BABCP accredition

I got my accreditation for exactly the same reasons as jamesivens - I like being linked to a professional body and it felt like it was extra, and welcome, recognition for becoming fully qualified. Other professionals have to register with professional bodies - eg teachers, nurses, CBT therapists, to...
