Re: 2020 Clinical Doctorate Application Progress Thread

So, this is my third proper try at this! Along the way I've trained as a PWP and more recently a CBT Therapist, with specialist LTC training, and I am very pleased to add my bit to the thread finally! For my first 'proper' attempt in 2017 I secured an Interview at UEA - no offer after interview in 2...

Re: Video Interviews

For those who have completed their video interviews, regardless of outcomes and have interviewed previously - how different are they to the usual interview process. Are you finding that questions are very different to what might usually be expected of the interviews? Please note, I am not asking for...

Re: Reserve list for places 2020

Well done to those who have got a reserve spot after interviewing. I was in that position last year, it was quite bitter sweet and anxiety provoking at the same time. Requiring feedback is always useful, but in my experience many of the courses will not provide you feedback even after getting a rese...

Re: Reserve list for places 2019

I'm currently on the reserve for Herts. For others on the reserve list - I called up this morning and their administrator indicated that they are not privy to provide us with any information as to how many people are on the reserve or where we might be on the reserve list. They also wouldn't tell me...

Advice for Bath additional personal statement and values

For those who have applied to Bath or have applied previously (or are at Bath!) - is there any advice or input you might be able to offer for the completion of the additional statement we have to supply to them? I understand that there are set things they are looking for such as meeting the course e...

Re: Applying to Bath

FLCx, I feel like you have misinterpreted the criteria for Bath - there is no where that indicates that if you do not have a 1st or masters, you would not be shortlisted. There is a marking criteria of what they look for floating around online, but it might be out of date. see below: http://www.leed...

Re: PWP training in Lambeth/Croydon

Hi It honestly varies from service to service. I've now worked in two different IAPT services and the expectations of how we see patients really varies and there doesn't seem to be a set pattern for how we do our clinical work. Currently I am expected to see my patients only twice throughout their t...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015

Just received email from Herts asking me to complete the same 3 tests used at UEL. Anyone else? Apparently RHUL will also be asking that the test is trialled.. I've received the same email - I didn't realise that Herts was trailing this test out this year! From what I've heard from UEL, a high pass...

Re: Applying for trainee PWP position at UCL

Hi there, I wanted to ask about the application process for this. I know that some trainee PWP positions are advertised on the NHS jobs website and you apply through there. Is this the same with the UCL positions- through NHS jobs? Thanks, Rose Hi Rose, I think the process has changed for applying ...

Re: Applying for trainee PWP position at UCL

To my knowledge they were only interviewing for the Jan intake on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday they informed interviewees they would get the outcomes either Tuesday or by today. It appears they have done neither. I don't think portico changes until you've actually been accepted onto the course - I'...

Was anyone else informed of UCL interview panel getting back to interviewees by today and still not heard back from them?
