Re: Applying for 2015

I checked it out by changing the end date of one of my jobs from current to today's date. On doing that I lost approximately a month off the FTE in comparison to when I put it as current job.

I'm making progress with my form but I'm having such a mind block on the main section!

Re: References

Hi A bit more advise if possible! My old uni tutor replied and has said that due to the time that has passed since my degree it's not really possible for her to provide me with a reference. I graduated in 2006 and am just wondering if this is really the case as I can't see anything on the clearing h...

Re: Disability in the media

I have mental illness as opposed to a physical one and whilst I struggle with it at times it's made me who I am. I was in hospital and met a psychologist for the first time I wasn't going to have any long term appointments with her and to be honest I'm not totally clear why I saw her but needless to...

Re: Applying for 2015

I'm having big issues getting an academic reference so goodness knows what I will end up doing for it! Kind of feels a tad pointless!

Re: Application Form and Older Candidates

I had never seen a form before and started filling mine out. I panicked and bought one of the packs that Enid mentioned (I'm assuming it's the same) and there was a variety of forms available all fairly different but none of them were how I imagined writing it in part as it wasn't a way I would writ...

Research experience

I am beginning to think that the academic side of my form will really let me down and i was looking at my uni transcript today and realised that the modules I did best in were the research and stats one and it got me thinking that I enjoyed doing it at uni and I shouldn't be scared of it now! I gues...

Re: Tips needed! Presenting research at a conference, First

I've never presented research but regularly train people . The biggest thing with questions that you don't know the answer to is dont guess apologise for not knowing as Dice said. If you are fairly sure of an answer but not 100% say that as well! Just remember death by PowerPoint so make sure you do...

Re: Applying for 2015

Gah! I didn't get a high 2:1 I got a low 2:1 and I graduated back in 2006 when that was all that was needed. I could of done better but I was struggling with my mental health however it was probably a fair grade. I did a masters with the Open University and got a pass which was a huge achievement fo...

Re: Applying for 2015

i thought though that the time automatically updates up until next Feb (shortlisting time) when you fill in the experience details on the clearing house form. I'm pretty sure mine did Randomswirls.... Ooh interesting! I interpreted at time of application to mean date application was submitted!? I'v...
