Re: Only applying to one course centre
Every course centre can see which other course centres an application has gone to. That doesn't mean that information is given to a shortlister - or that anyone would care.

Re: Lancaster 2017
You may want to consider the way travel expenses work when looking at where to live. These are calculated with Lancaster University as your base. You can claim for mileage above your home to base distance. This means that if you live in Lancaster but get a placement in Manchester, you can claim near...

Re: Which courses are yet to receive offers (2017)?

Re: Applying with the Double Tick system
I'm sure programmes will be happy to give you information on why you were shortlisted and if it involved use of the scheme if you ask them.

Re: Applying with the Double Tick system
RJ, my worry is that the assessors may not hold the same views as the institution as a whole. And thank you Lingua, that is really reassuring. You've pretty much summed up how I have always felt about it, glad to know that I'm not the only one who has felt that way. My experiences of working with m...

Re: Applying with the Double Tick system
My question would be would you actually want to go to a programme that thought the double tick scheme was an attempt to get around competition?

You should have an email Holly - I've sent them all out. Sorry to those who didn't make it this year and best of luck if you've got an interview at another programme.

None of that is a reason to worry about contacting any programme with a genuine query of course.

Re: course shortlisting dates 2017
Lancaster use all contact with candidates as part of their assessment of that candidate. I'm aware of other programmes that also do this. Why would a programme not be interested in the manner of contact that a candidate makes with various team members and their conduct during that contact? Informati...

Re: Less research focused course centres
In terms of selections processes, I'm obviously going to say that Lancaster is a good option if you want to avoid a traditional "let's look at your CV" approach be that in terms of research or clinical experience. Also, we're really nice.
