Re: Professional Development Days 2018 (interview preparatio

Just wanted to add that I really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended that people attend whenever possible. I didn't know what to expect on the day but I suspected it would be something that would expose me to some anxiety-provoking situations, and it certainly did. But in a good way, those of us tha...

Re: Location of UEL tests

I've only been to the campus once but if I recall there is only one main entrance and what I've seen on Facebook is that people are going to the main reception to which they will be directed. Best of luck.

Like Mindfulpsych said. I only heard from Cardiff today, which was to say that the Verbal reasoning and numeracy test opens from the 19th.

That sounds great, unfortunately, it's too far for me. But hopefully, something like this could possibly make its way down to London. I know UEL often host events like this.

Re: What works well in IAPT?

I think IAPT provides a clear access to the care pathway. The way it is set up allows clients to be given the most suitable treatment which is continuously monitored. While there is still a long waiting time, it is much improved from pre-2008. The telephone service allows for better accessibility to...

Re: lost with where to go next

I don't know much about counselling but would you consider becoming a CBT therapist? Many PWPs go that route via doing a KSA.

I haven't had chance to contact clearing house yet, but I will do this tomorrow morning.
Did you manage to sort it out? What was the outcome?

Re: Issues with reference

I had a similar problem. I asked my ex manager months ago if she could be my reference which she agreed to, today I get an email that she isn't allowed to do it. I contacted the Clearing house and they were kind enough to give me an extension to find somebody else. My line manager has done it for me...

Re: UCL Trainee PWP application for September 2017 start

Hi all, How is the course/job going? Are you enjoying it? How stressful is it so far? Would love to find out more about the highs and lows. It's going well, currently learning about GAD and Health anxiety. We have our first assessment on assessments next week. We have to do a 45 minute role play on...

Re: Help with term 'stakeholders' on application form

Hi, This is my first time posting, I have had a look for help with this in previous threads however I couldn't find it anywhere (so apologies for any duplication!) I am applying for the role of Research assistant and Part time PhD student and I am struggling with the term 'stakeholders'. In the rol...

Re: children/young people work

Having worked with both adults and children I definitely prefer working with children myself too. A HCA role in a CAMHS ward is a good start. I use to work in the CAMHS ward at Bethlem and Royal Free. I enjoyed it a lot more than being a HCA on a adults PICU at the time. Look into children charities...
