DCLIN 2019 Edinburgh second interview

The outcome of my Edinburgh interview was reserve. I got a call on Friday asking if I can come back to Edinburgh tomorrow for a second interview for Tayside. Been looking around and can't seem to find any mention of a second interview previously or who else has been invited. I'm glad to have another...

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread

Hey, found out yesterday that I was unsuccessful following the Edinburgh interviews, just wondering if anyone knows if there is a reserve list? Well done to those who were successful :) Heya. I'm on the reserve list. Not sure what number as they don't say. Not too hopeful but happy to get this far.

DCLIN 2019 Newcastle - reference

Hi all, I have my interview with Newcastle next week and part of the process is to get a reference from my line manager. I passed it to my line manager who told me that it's against the organisation's policy for her to do my reference and the only people who can is HR who use their own system. Appar...

Pretty much what Miriam said. Also, I went to an event for Royal Holloway and they said that they do check any publications to ensure people aren't lying.

Re: recommended apps for clients

I always recommend the worry time app for patients, it allows them to add their worries and set a time for worry time which the app will notify people of.

Re: UCL PWP 2018 intake- potential interview dates?

Well that's over with! Felt like I both babbled nervously and didn't say enough but overall wasn't too disastrous I hope.. panel were nice and supportive. Yep, straight forward, 6 questions, some expected, some not.. May take several weeks to find out if I've been successful.. 😬. Time to forget abo...

Re: UCL PWP 2018 intake- potential interview dates?

Interview invites should be rolling out now. My service in Bromley sent their invites out yesterday. It should be a straightforward 30-minute interview consisting of six questions. Best of luck!

Re: PWP UCL low intensity applications

Hi there, so considering we're talking about UCL, they have two intakes a year. The September intake takes about 100 placements. The services can range from taking 2-7 people I believe. My service took 3 people, myself and two others and is due to take 4 this year. Trust me, it's necessary to take m...

Re: RE: PWP Trainee Interview

Congratulations. Is it with UCL? And which service is it for? I got on last year and due to finish soon. Just submitted my final essay actually. The interview process at UCL is simple, standard 20-30 minute interview with a panel of 2-3 people. One person from UCL and 1-2 people from your service. T...

Re: Professional Development Days 2018 (interview preparatio

Just wanted to add that I really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended that people attend whenever possible. I didn't know what to expect on the day but I suspected it would be something that would expose me to some anxiety-provoking situations, and it certainly did. But in a good way, those of us tha...
