Definitely worth mentioning but if you have the space also include any audits, any presentations, information you disseminated and so on.

Re: Supporting Statement for AP post, help!

First of all welcome. Now AP posts are incredibly varied and unique so every personal statement should be tailored towards the one you are applying to. You're on the right track and ticking the boxes of the PS but try not to be too robotic in doing so. When you're writing how you fulfill each requir...

Re: Should I blank out my name in supportive evidence?

I don't think it's an issue, I uploaded scans of my transcripts which have my name on it. Don't think I've ever heard of that being an problem.

Re: University of Surrey online Q&A session

I would definitely be interested. In terms of questions I suppose it would revolve around the application process, the general things that they look for and a bit about the course content, what placements to expect and so fourth.

Re: UCL Trainee PWP application for September 2017 start

With the 25th approaching ever so close, does anyone know the times for our first day at UCL? I can't work out the timetable. By that I mean it's showing blank. Hi! I just got an email with the term 1 timetable for cohort 1, it says the first teaching day will be the 25th of September 10am to 5pm, ...

Re: Eating Disorders work beneficial for IAPT?

I've worked as a HCA in an Eating disorders ward, loved working in that client group. I don't think it will provide any substantial benefit as you don't work with something as complex as eating disorders in IAPT. However, like any job, you can draw parallels with your different ranges of experiences...

Re: UCL or OXBRIDGE?

I have to echo the above response, I don't think you NEED a Masters to boost your Doctorate application. But if you are still planning to do one then UCL is more than fine. Ultimately though, if you aren't that keen on doing a Masters and your only reason is for the Doctorate then your time is bette...

Re: Social work as a route into HI work?

I understand, and in that case to my knowledge the only other route is to do a course in low intensive CBT as mentioned above. It's a part-time course, funded by the NHS as well. Next intake is in March. I'm actually starting the same course in a few weeks. An undergraduate degree in psychology isn'...

I'm no expert on this in particular however to my knowledge a social work qualification does fulfill the entry requirements to get into the training.

PWP trainee vs Current job

Hi all, I'm at a complete lost as to what to do. I've been offered a position as a PWP trainee in Bromley Mind, really happy to have been accepted however, since May of this year I've been working in Addaction as a young persons substance misuse practitioner. I really am enjoying it and am upset at ...
