Re: Not sure what to do?

I think you are over-thinking it. This might reflect a broader lack of self-confidence, which will be something to reflect on in the future Possibly, but also I think it may reflect how underprepared graduates are coming out of university, as there is little mentoring to explain stuff like this. Th...

Re: Not sure what to do?

I have been in this (almost) exact situation in the past. I called them and explained, asked for a bank contract. They accepted this and I actually started months before my original start date, because they needed people at short notice to fill in. Then when I returned from travelling, the offered ...

Or discuss o...

Re: Not sure what to do?

I empathise with your situation as having just graudated myself, I know how difficult it is to make these kind of decisions!! I don't have the answer to your problem but I just thought I'd suggest a possible option e): be honest about your situation and ask if you can have a bank/zero hours contrac...

Not sure what to do?

When I finished university I decided to go traveling with my boyfriend, we decided to go early 2015 (Jan/Feb) for 2-3 months. Until then the idea was to do some temp work to fund this travel. On a whim I applied for a support worker job at a great hospital and some how got the job. I was hoping this...
