Re: Anyone heard from Notts uni?

Hi, Has anyone heard anything from Notts? Still nothing for me and the shortlisting tests are early march I believe? I'm not hopeful anyways, but the anticipation is killing me!! Thanks, Amy. Hi Amy, Some universities take longer than other in terms of selection tests - I only heard from Plymouth l...

Re: What do I need to do to pursue Stage 2 training in Healt

Hi, I am currently studying my stage 1 MSc in Health psychology as a distance student, whilst working full time in brain injury rehab. I have just secured an AP position in the NHS, and I have applied for the Clinical doctorate this year, though I doubt it will go anywhere. My problem is, if I am h...

Re: PART Time trainee pWP?

Hello everyone. I have been reading a lot about trainee PWP posts and I have found that trainees must come do 1 day uni/study and minimum 3 days in post. I know all of the advertised ones are 4 days in post/1day uni. Has anyone heard of a trainee requesting to do 3 days a week on post and one day u...

Re: Trainee PWP and work/life balance

Evening all :) I have been offered an interview for a trainee PWP post and I am extremely excited about it. I wanted to ask what your experience is of the work/life balance? I have a nearly 5 year old that is in her first year at school and a 15 month old. I just wanted to see how people managed an...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. My stomach butterflies are constantly fluttering.. making me feel so nervous 2. Debating whether I am good enough, which is silly because if they didn't think I was good enough then they wouldn't be taking a chance on me 3. Attempting to use CBT techniques to keep the anxiety at bay 4. I can do t...

Re: What works well in IAPT?

I'm shortly going to be starting a post in primary care in Wales, with a specific remit to focus on children and families. We don't have IAPT in Wales at all. I'd be really interested to hear your perspective on what works well in IAPT, including adult services, but particularly if you have any per...

Re: lost with where to go next

I don't know much about counselling but would you consider becoming a CBT therapist? Many PWPs go that route via doing a KSA. I think you have be qualified PWP for 2 years to apply with KSA? I know it's true in my service but not sure about others. If you wanted to do CBT therapy you could self-fun...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. Feeling deflated in that sometimes there is no recognition.. :( 2. I don't think I'm agreeing with this management style... our new colleagues are struggling without vital support & asking me to provide clinical supervision which isn't appropriate and could potentially cause further problems. 3. ...
