Re: 1 month volunteering china

Hi zzz8 This might be a bit late. I haven't been to China but I did some volunteering in Thailand with a company called RealGap. I had a look and they do a few things in China too - Giant Panda Conservation for one. I found them to be a good company; they weren't too dear, everything was well arrang...

Looking for a test ABS:RC 2

Hi all

Does anyone know if you can still get the AAMR Adaptive Behavior Scale—Residential and Community, Second Edition for adults with LD.

I can't seem to find anywhere that you can buy it and we can't buy it internally.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages. Really excited but definitely feeling a bit stressed with it all at the moment. If I have to read anymore about Land searches and Draininage searches I'll scream   We shall have to have a birthday night out for the three of us having our birthday (b...

Re: Teesside 2015

Hi all We've been a bit quiet on here lately. I have potentially just bought my first house last week (assuming it doesn't fall through) aaahhhh. I will hopefully therefore be moving down to Middlesbrough at the end of August. It's all starting to seem real now. :o I don't know anyone in the Middles...

Re: Reserve list for places

Still nothing from Teesside, not even to say the list is full full. I much preferred their system last year. Yvonne was super approachable, this year I couldn't eveen get an acknowledgement that they had received my documents that they asked for. (pre-interview) I would maybe phone them, that way y...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. The 'heartbroken' post the other day was in regards to the guy I've been seeing. We'd both been trying, and failing, to keep things casual, we're both only here for a little while longer, we were hoping he would get this job in Birmingham which is also where I was looking to move back to anyway....

Re: Scotland LD SIG??

Thanks IrishEmma

That's a shame that Mays was missed as I won't now be able to go to the November one. I have a feeling that it might have been my healthboards turn (not saying which one! :D :D ) and that's why the May one was missed. I will let my department know about the November one x

Re: Reflections on 4th application and not on training

I completely agree with this thread and wanted to share my experience. I had my first interviews last year. Prepared loads and the best I got was reserve. This year I had one interview, minimally prepared and got on. I couldn't even answer one of the questions! BUT because I had minimally prepared I...

Re: Poetry please....

A mother's answer As the world walked on past and left me breaking apart I heard my mother cry the sadness choking her heart. I can't take the pain it’s too much this time but why does she cry when the pain is all mine? I feel such despair nothing left for me here but I look in her eyes and there's ...
