Assistant posts have many advantages, but they are by no means the only appropriate experience for CP. This! Have a read round the forum - particularly the thread in which people talk about the experience they had when accepted on to training - and you'll see that lots of people get on without ever...

My response to the language document is much the same as other recent (and equally controversial publications) e.g. the position on DSM-5, understanding psychosis etc. I don't think it's perfect, and people can and will pick holes in it. Quite a few trusts (and indeed charities and private organisations) now seem to be asking people to fund their own DBS. Sign of the times perhaps.

Never heard of the e-learning one before though!

Agreed, it seems very strange - especially for an NHS Band 6 position, where the person specifications and job descriptions usually have to be airtight.

I'm not sure if this is OTT but I'm wondering if it's worth flagging up to the HCPC...
