He actually had an average IQ overall and above average for some subtests but these subtests were below average. I'm aware that the medication can cause problems but was looking for some article or evidence that it would specifically effect the skills needed for those subtests or even better if it's...

WAIS performance and medication

Does anyone know of any established evidence that opiate based pain medication (specifically tramadol) may impact on WAIS-III performance? We've found quite a large discepancy between scores- particularly low on digit-symbol coding and digit span (working memory) and were informed that he took a lot...

For our AP post that was up for 2 days we had 457 applications and interviewed 6 people for the post.
It seems that there's better odds of getting onto training than getting AP posts!

I'm sorry if I've caused offence. I wasn't implying that I agreed with that way of short-listing but that's what was done. The criteria specified or 2.1. or 1st and evidence of academic excellence. I'm not sure if this is the case for every AP job, but it appears that AP jobs are more strict on this...

Some do have drop down menus so that you can eliminate some applications this way, but not many fall into the 2.2 category. Of around 470 applications for 1 AP post (open for 2 days) around 20-30 had 2.2s and so were eliminated by HR straight away. However some people are sneaky and choose 'other' o...

Hi ellectricc Congrats! I'm sure we'll hear something from the course soon when all the places have been confirmed. Once they contact everyone with permission to share each others contact details I'll arrange a get together. Right now just relax and enjoy the time you have before the hard work begins!

just a note on the means tested side of it, whilst its not means tested exactly it does take into account income. You pay more council tax for a house that is worth more. I presume, on the whole, people who live in houses which are more expensive have larger incomes. I think there's a slight loopho...

If you're living with one non-student would you be entitled to the discount you get for one person living alone, as council tax is usually worked out for a 2 person+ household and you can get 25% discount if living alone?

Well done Sarah.
The course starts on the 29th of september but we could arrange a meet up before the course starts as there's only 17 of us, and I know they managed to do something similar last year. We may meet when we have to sort our CRB checks out, but don't know when that will be
