Re: please offer me advice
Hello! Welcome to the forum. It seems you certainly have relevant experience. It just depends what you have done in those roles and how you reflect on what you've learnt from them. Do you have good qualifications too? It would be a good idea to read the wiki section of the forum as it has lots of he...

Re: Publication/dissemination section of application
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread, it's definitely made me think! I co-created a depression course for my service, along with the presentation slides and handouts. We then wrote up a report evaluating the course to apply for some funding, which was awarded to us, and subsequently...

Re: Academic Reference- which course to ask?
Thanks for the helpful reply Spatch! Either reference would be by a clinical psychologist (if they agreed to do it). Would the fact that the PWP course does not have a research component affect its weight though? Would it balance out if my experience reference mentioned something research related e....

Academic Reference- which course to ask?
Hi everyone, I'm applying to clinical for the first time this year and am a little unsure who to ask to write my academic reference. I have an undergrad in psychology as well as the PWP postgrad diploma. Although the diploma is more recent do you think it would be better to ask a tutor from my under...

Re: Helpful client resources
Does anyone know of any links to resources, leaflets, worksheets, websites etc in foreign languages? I'm increasingly noticing in my work place that a lack of such materials means that those whose English is limited are in effect receiving a different service to those who aren't. It would be great ...

I found this quite interesting.ctaylor1962 wrote:If you have a client that really wants F2F and you can't offer it then it can be frustrating.
Why are you unable to provide face to face appointments if the client requests it?

Re: iphone application/game thread
I love point and click games. I played all of the Broken Sword and Monkey Island games on the PC when they first came out, great games! Thanks for recommending Hector. After hearing about it here for the first time I saw episode 2 featured in the App store, then found out that episode 1 has dropped ...

Gaps inbetween NHS jobs and affect on pension
Hi everyone, I just wondered if anyone knew what's the biggest gap you can have between two jobs inside the NHS without it affecting your pension, or will even the smallest gap e.g. a week affect it too? I've searched the NHS pensions website but can't find a clear answer, so any info on this would ...

In the email sent out today there was a link to the new issue of Aspire: http://www.clinpsy.org.uk/aspire.php However when I try to access the page I get the following error: CakePHP: the rapid development php framework Not Found Error: The requested address '/aspire.php' was not found on this serve...

It's quite good! My high score is around 52k, but my friend has over 94k. The space theme seems to be a bit easier, since you can get into the rocket ship and go up quite a bit. Will wrote:Around the 32K mark...no idea if that's good or not!

Re: iphone application/game thread
Why has no one mentioned Doodle Jump yet? Really great game, and quite addictive. They have also added lots of different themes within the same game too, rather than releasing them as seperate games. I like Cover Orange a lot too. It's been made free a couple of times, but I think you might have to ...
